Explore leading referral programs for scrap and damaged vehicles in South Africa. Learn how to earn cash by referring cars to trusted buyers nationwide.
In South Africa, finding reliable ways to dispose of scrap, accident-damaged, or written-off cars can be challenging. While some opt to sell their own vehicles, others see an opportunity to earn by referring friends, family, or business contacts to reputable car-buying services. Top referral programs for scrap vehicles make it possible to earn commission or bonuses when a referred vehicle is successfully sold to a car buyer specializing in damaged, non-running, or salvage vehicles.
These programs typically cater to individuals, auto industry professionals, towing operators, or even business fleet managers looking to earn extra cash by connecting sellers with trusted buyers such as Sell Your Damaged Car and similar services operating nationwide in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and beyond.
| Program | Who Can Refer? | Commission | Service Coverage |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sell Your Damaged Car Partner Referral | Individuals, repairers, fleets | Fixed fee (R500-R1500+) | Nationwide SA |
| Scrap Yards Direct Incentive | Any adult (18+) | % of deal (5-10%) | Major cities |
| Tow Operator Partner Bonus | Tow drivers, fleet partners | Fixed per referral (variable) | Selected provinces |
For the strongest results with referral programs for scrap vehicles, consider the following tips specific to the South African market:
Referred vehicles must typically have verifiable ownership (proof of title, or evidence of deregistration if already written off). Ensure you inform sellers about the need for paperwork – reputable buyers like Sell Your Damaged Car minimise the paperwork burden, but some information is always required for compliance with South African vehicle disposal regulations.
| Referral Step | Action Needed | Who Handles? |
|---|---|---|
| Referral submitted | Introduction with vehicle/contact info | Referrer |
| Offer & paperwork | Buyer evaluates, prepares documents | Buyer |
| Collection & payment | Vehicle towed, seller paid, referrer paid | Buyer |
Once your referral has accepted the buyer's offer and the vehicle is collected, watch for your referral fee. Most reputable scrap vehicle buyers, such as Sell Your Damaged Car, process referral payments promptly after successful handover and payment to the seller.
In summary: By connecting sellers of scrap vehicles to trusted nationwide buyers, you help others dispose of unwanted cars efficiently and earn additional income – with no need to get involved in complex negotiations or admin.
