Sell your non-running car fast - no roadworthy needed. Free towing, admin handled, and same-day cash payment across South Africa. Private and business vehicles welcome.
If your car is parked up with mechanical failure, major damage, or simply won't start, you may be facing the hassle of costly repairs and a failed roadworthy inspection. With Sell Your Damaged Car, you can sell your non-running vehicle in any condition-without the need to pass a roadworthy test-and get paid on the same day we collect it. Our process is straightforward, secure, and trusted by vehicle owners across Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and beyond.
In South Africa, selling a car to a private buyer typically requires a roadworthy certificate for ownership transfer. But when selling directly to a licensed car buying service like Sell Your Damaged Car, this requirement is waived: we purchase non-runners, write-offs, and vehicles without certificates, and handle the paperwork for you, including deregistration if needed.
Once your non-runner is collected, we verify paperwork and release payment straight to your bank account-often within hours, subject to your bank's processing timelines. This is especially useful in urgent situations, such as unexpected breakdowns, insurance write-offs, or relocation.
| Sale Method | Roadworthy Needed? | Time to Cash | Towing Included? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Private Buyer | Usually Required | 1-4 weeks | No (extra cost) |
| Sell Your Damaged Car | Not Needed | Same Day | Yes (free) |
Your payment is processed without delay after your non-runner is collected. We complete the change of ownership and, if requested, deregister the car on your behalf at the licensing office. If your vehicle is under finance, let us know-we'll provide tailored steps for settlement and transfer. Our team is familiar with South African licensing processes and can answer any questions.
