Get a 2025 instant quote for your damaged, non-running, or accident vehicle. Receive a transparent online cash offer, free towing, and SA-wide admin-fast and simple.
If your vehicle's been involved in an accident, faced severe mechanical issues, or is written off, waiting weeks for repair quotes or haggling with buyers isn't practical. In 2025, Sell Your Damaged Car offers a truly instant, online quote service for South Africans wanting to turn a damaged car into cash with minimal hassle. Whether you're in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban or smaller towns, our platform provides a rapid path from valuation to payment, with no hidden fees or delayed collection.
Advances in online valuation mean you no longer need to wait for in-person appraisals. Here's how the process is simplified in 2025:
| Scenario | Avg. Repair Cost* | Estimated Value Kept (After Repair) |
|---|---|---|
| Minor accident damage | R12,000-R25,000 | 50-65% |
| Major mechanical failure | R18,000-R60,000 | 30-55% |
| Written-off/non-running | R30,000+ | 20-35% |
*Estimates based on typical 2025 workshop rates in South Africa. Actual costs may vary by model and location.
| Type of Damage | Typical Offer Impact |
|---|---|
| Front-end collision | Moderate to high reduction |
| Engine failure | High reduction |
| Flood/fire damage | Significant reduction |
| Cosmetic only | Slight reduction |
The instant quote reflects real-world buyer demand, likely parts salvageability, and resell market factors. Our process prioritises full transparency-no unexplained deductions, and every condition is considered fairly.
We use your provided details and clear images to generate a committed cash offer. In rare cases where damage is more extensive than described, adjustments may apply-but we always communicate this upfront, before collection is arranged.
Yes, you can. If your car is still financed, our team will guide you through the process of settling the outstanding amount and transferring ownership, in close coordination with your bank or finance provider. Transparency and correct paperwork are a priority to protect all parties.
We assist you with all vehicle deregistration and proof of ownership transfer requirements as required by South African law. Ensure you retain the deregistration proof from your local licensing office for your records. Our admin team manages this for you, reducing stress and risk of future liability.
Absolutely. We arrange vehicle collection at no extra cost, anywhere in South Africa-Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Pretoria and even outlying regions. Safe towing mitigates any further risk to your non-running or accident-damaged vehicle.
Once collection is complete, our buyers verify condition and confirm payment, usually within hours. You'll receive prompt paperwork for your records. Vehicles are then either responsibly recycled, stripped for parts, or moved via regulated salvage channels, depending on extent of damage and value.
Need a tow? We got you
Get a cash offer within 24h!
Somewhere remote? No problem!
Wondering how we calculate your car’s value? At Sell Your Damaged Car, we look at: Your car’s real condition, its salvage value, and the current market demand. It’s all about honesty, transparency, and fairness — that’s how we determine your offer.
