Sell your accident damaged, written-off, or non-running Ford Ranger for cash across South Africa. Includes free towing, legal admin help, and fast payment-Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and all major regions.
If your Ford Ranger has been in an accident or has become a non-runner because of mechanical failure or other serious issues, you're not alone. With the popularity of the Ranger among South African bakkie owners, the unfortunate truth is that repair costs after a crash or major breakdown can quickly escalate. Instead of letting a damaged or non-running vehicle depreciate further, many owners now opt for a fast, convenient sale-turning a difficult situation into instant cash with the help of a trusted, specialist car-buying service like Sell Your Damaged Car.
Before deciding whether to fix or sell your Ranger, consider both the direct repair costs and the impact on resale value. Extensive damage typically means costly repairs, possible loss of warranty, and lower market value-even after repairs. Here's a comparison to help frame the decision:
| Damage Type | Estimated Repair Cost (R) | Value Retained After Repair (%) |
|---|---|---|
| Front-end accident (moderate) | 35,000-65,000 | 70-75% |
| Severe chassis/structural damage | 75,000-150,000+ | 50-60% |
| Major mechanical failure (engine/gearbox) | 30,000-90,000 | 65-70% |
| Flood or fire damage | Varies, often total write-off | 40-55% |
In many cases, especially for late-model or high-mileage Ford Rangers, the cost of repairs exceeds the benefit. That's where a direct sale for cash-handled by experts-can quickly clear the problem and free up your resources.
With Sell Your Damaged Car, the entire process is streamlined for Ford Ranger owners in South Africa:
Selling a damaged or non-runner Ranger involves several important legalities:
Specialist buyers like Sell Your Damaged Car assist with all paperwork and compliance steps, ensuring the process is fully legal and transparent throughout South Africa.
| Damage Type | Typical Offer Impact |
|---|---|
| Mechanical (engine/gearbox failure) | Moderate - age and parts demand considered |
| Chassis damage | Significant - write-off status reduces value |
| Cosmetic/body damage | Mild to moderate - model year and mileage factor in |
| Flood/fire damage | High impact - often bought for parts or scrap |
Once your Ford Ranger is collected, Sell Your Damaged Car finalises all legal requirements and payment. Vehicles may be salvaged for usable parts, resold to the trade, or responsibly disposed of. You'll be notified of any deregistration or finance closure once authorities process them, keeping your record clean and compliant.
