Sell your accident-damaged or non-running car locally in SA. Get a transparent cash offer, free nationwide collection, paperwork help and quick payment.
If your vehicle has been in an accident - whether it's repairable, a write-off, flood-affected or non-running - selling locally can be quicker and less stressful than repairing or advertising privately. Sell Your Damaged Car buys accident vehicles across South Africa, including Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban, with a simple online form, transparent offers and free towing.
We serve drivers and fleet owners across urban and peri-urban SA. Whether you're in Johannesburg suburbs, Cape Town's metro area, Durban and surrounding regions, or smaller towns, our process is designed for local convenience: online valuation, instant quote, scheduled collection and quick payment.
Local tip: For collectors and private buyers, clear photos of local registration papers and a short damage summary speed up the offer process.
| Damage type | Typical local market effect |
|---|---|
| Structural/Frame damage | Significantly reduces offers due to repair cost and resale limits. |
| Mechanical failure (non-running) | Offers vary; non-running cars sell locally to breakers or rebuilders. |
| Minor accident damage | Smaller reduction; attractive to local repairers or private buyers. |
| Flood or fire damage | Typically lower offers; often sold for parts or salvage locally. |
When selling an accident vehicle locally, make sure you have proof of ownership and any outstanding finance is declared. If your vehicle is under finance, inform the finance house - we can work with you to settle or transfer obligations before collection. We assist with deregistration documentation and provide receipts required for transfer of ownership in line with SA regulations.
After we collect your vehicle locally, you'll receive confirmation of collection and payment. We verify paperwork and, where applicable, assist with deregistration so you're not liable for future road or tax obligations. Payment is released and verified promptly to your nominated bank account.
