Looking for a trusted salvage car buyer in South Africa? Get a transparent cash offer, free nationwide towing, paperwork support and fast payment from Sell Your Damaged Car.
If you own an accident-damaged, written-off, flood-affected or non-running car, finding a trusted salvage car buyer in South Africa saves time and removes uncertainty. We provide clear offers, free towing nationwide, paperwork support and fast payment so you can move on quickly.
Selling a salvage vehicle privately or to scrapyards can be slow and risky. A trusted salvage car buyer specialises in vehicles in any condition, understands salvage market demand in South African metros like Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban, and handles logistics such as collection and deregistration. This reduces the admin burden and mitigates delays that often lower the cash outcome for owners.
A trusted salvage car buyer evaluates make, model, year, mileage, damage type and the vehicle's condition from photos and information you upload. For fleet vehicles or higher-value cars we may request additional documentation. Quotes reflect current salvage parts demand in South Africa and estimated towing/logistics costs, so offers are transparent and tailored to each vehicle.
| Damage Type | Typical Offer Impact |
|---|---|
| Front/structural damage | Higher impact on offers due to repair complexity and frame issues |
| Non-running (engine/transmission) | Moderate to high impact depending on parts value and repairability |
| Flood or fire damage | Significant impact; offers reflect salvageable components and safety concerns |
Tip: Preparing good-quality photos (multiple angles, close-ups of damage, engine bay and interior) helps a trusted salvage car buyer give a more accurate cash offer quickly.
We buy salvage and damaged vehicles nationwide across South Africa including Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban, and surrounding towns. Private owners and small business fleets are both served. We accept vehicles classified as written-off by insurers, those still under finance (subject to settlement steps), and vehicles with major mechanical faults.
If your vehicle is financed, we explain the settlement procedure clearly: we work with your finance provider to obtain payout figures and, on acceptance, the payment process includes the necessary settlement steps so the transfer is clean and compliant with South African regulations.
Get your free quote now: Get your free quote. Upload vehicle details, accept the offer and Confirm collection - we handle the rest and you Get paid fast.
A trusted salvage car buyer provides clear terms, explains how offers are calculated, and documents collection and payment steps. We operate nationally, publish straightforward processes, and work to resolve finance-related settlements professionally for both private sellers and fleet managers.
| Step | Typical timeframe |
|---|---|
| Initial offer | Minutes to a few hours after submission |
| Collection and paperwork | Usually 24-72 hours depending on location |
| Payment release | On collection and verification; typically same day |
