Need a trusted buyer for a non-running car in South Africa? Get a competitive cash offer, free nationwide towing and paperwork assistance - fast payment after collection.
Any-Condition Buyers
We purchase non-running, written-off and salvage vehicles across South Africa.
Free Nationwide Towing
We arrange collection from Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and surrounding areas.
Paperwork & Fast Payment
We assist with deregistration and pay you quickly after vehicle collection.
If your vehicle doesn't start, has been written off after an accident, or has serious mechanical faults, selling to a specialist buyer is often faster and simpler than repair or a private sale. Sell Your Damaged Car purchases non-running vehicles across Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and surrounding areas, offering a straightforward online valuation and transparent offers based on condition and market demand.
Local focus: We operate nationwide in South Africa and understand local salvage demand and regulatory processes for metros like Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban.
| Factor | How it affects the offer |
|---|---|
| Extent of mechanical damage | Major engine or transmission faults reduce retail value and salvage appeal. |
| Structural / accident damage | Severe structural damage often moves a vehicle into written-off category with salvage market pricing. |
| Age and model demand | Popular models or parts-in-demand can increase the competitive cash offer. |
For a clear overview of what we buy and how the online valuation works, see our About / How it works page. If your car is not running, our Sell Non-Running Car page explains specific steps for non-starters and immobilised vehicles.
Trust is also practical: we document the offer, confirm collection windows in writing, and transfer payment quickly after collection. These processes reduce uncertainty for private owners and small fleet managers alike.
Our goal is to make selling a non-running vehicle as simple as possible: upload photos and details, receive a clear offer, accept if it meets your needs, and let us arrange collection and paperwork. Below are the practical steps and what to expect after you accept an offer.
| Damage Type | Typical offer impact |
|---|---|
| Non-running (engine/fuel/no-start) | Lower retail value but parts and scrap value can create a competitive cash offer. |
| Accident-written-off | Offer reflects salvage and parts demand; structural damage reduces market options. |
| Flood or fire damage | Typically significant reduction due to electrical and corrosion concerns, but salvage value remains. |
Once the vehicle is collected, we complete the transfer documentation and provide proof of collection. Where deregistration is required, we guide you through the South African regulatory steps so the process is compliant and documented. Payment is issued promptly after verification so you can close the sale with confidence.
If you want more detail on selling damaged or written-off vehicles, our Sell Damaged Cars page covers common scenarios for accident, flood and fire-damaged vehicles.
Need a tow? We got you
Get a cash offer within 24h!
Somewhere remote? No problem!
Wondering how we calculate your car’s value? At Sell Your Damaged Car, we look at: Your car’s real condition, its salvage value, and the current market demand. It’s all about honesty, transparency, and fairness — that’s how we determine your offer.
