Find trusted buyers for non-running diesel cars in South Africa. Free towing, paperwork handled and fast payment - secure and transparent process nationwide.
Any condition accepted
We buy non-running diesel cars, accident-damaged and written-off vehicles.
Nationwide free towing
Collection across Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and surrounding areas.
Paperwork & fast payment
Buyers handle deregistration and issue prompt payment after collection.
When your diesel car won’t start after engine failure, flood damage, or an accident, finding a reliable buyer is often the fastest way to recover value. Trusted buyers for non-running diesel cars specialise in vehicles that are non-operational, written off or mechanically impaired and offer a streamlined process: online valuation, transparent offers based on condition and market demand, free vehicle collection and professional handling of the necessary paperwork.
Reputable buyers minimise the common hassles of selling a non-running diesel car: they arrange free towing nationwide, help with deregistration when required, settle outstanding admin and deliver fast payment after collection. Selling to a trusted buyer reduces the time, risk and uncertainty of private sale attempts or using multiple intermediaries.
| Damage type | Typical offer impact |
|---|---|
| Major engine failure (non-running) | Significant reduction - buyer values salvageable parts and scrap value |
| Accident structural damage | Offer depends on chassis, airbag deployment and repair feasibility |
| Flood or water damage | Often lower offers due to electrical and long-term corrosion risks |
| Cosmetic damage only | Smaller impact - more value retained if drivetrain intact |
Offers from trusted buyers are influenced by make, model, year, mileage, market demand for diesel parts and the current salvage market. For targeted guidance on non-running vehicles, see our Sell Non-Running Car page here and learn about what we buy on the Sell Damaged Cars page here.
Experienced buyers bring market knowledge for diesel engines and salvage values, handle deregistration and provide documentation that protects both seller and buyer. Using a recognised service reduces the risk of delays, unclear payment terms or complications with vehicles that are still under finance. To understand our process and credentials, review our About & How it works page here.
The typical journey is designed to be fast and transparent. Submit vehicle details and photos online, receive a competitive cash offer based on condition and market demand, accept if the offer meets your needs, and schedule free collection. After collection, payment is released and the buyer completes paperwork such as deregistration or transfer where applicable.
For a quick start you can Upload vehicle details and Get your free quote via the homepage: Get your free quote. After accepting an offer, Confirm collection and Get paid fast by following the prompts on the same page.
Nationwide free towing is commonly available from established buyers - this covers metro areas like Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban as well as surrounding regions. If your diesel car is still under finance, disclose this upfront so the buyer can advise on settlement or transfer steps; reputable buyers will work to ensure legal compliance when handling settlement or transfer. Expect payments in South African rand (R) and note that offered values can vary by region and current parts demand.
Example scenario: A non-running diesel bakkie with engine seizure in Durban. An experienced buyer assesses parts value, demand for diesel engine components and towing logistics, then issues an offer reflecting those factors. If accepted, the buyer arranges free towing, completes the paperwork and issues payment - removing a costly storage or repair burden for the owner.
