Find trusted buyers for burnt-out and fire-damaged cars across South Africa. Get a transparent offer, free nationwide collection and handled paperwork.
We Buy Burnt Cars
Fire-damaged, burnt-out and written-off vehicles accepted nationwide.
Free Towing Nationwide
We arrange collection across SA with no towing fees for sellers.
Paperwork & Fast Payment
We handle deregistration and release fast payment after collection.
A burnt-out or fire-damaged vehicle creates immediate costs and logistics challenges: storage, environmental disposal, and ongoing paperwork. Many South African owners - in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and surrounding areas - choose to sell to specialist buyers who handle salvage, deregistration and responsible disposal. Selling saves time and reduces liability while converting a non-repairable vehicle into a competitive cash offer.
Specialist salvage buyers, wrecking yards and licensed recyclers typically buy burnt vehicles. These buyers assess residual value for parts, catalytic converters, scrap metal and salvageable components. Sell Your Damaged Car works with licensed partners nationally to provide transparent offers, free towing and handled paperwork so you don’t need to arrange transport or disposal.
We buy vehicles in any condition: fully burnt-out bodies, partial fire damage, mechanical failure after a fire, written-off by insurers, or cars that no longer start. Our process covers private owners and small business fleets across South Africa.
Offers depend on the extent of fire damage, model, year, remaining parts, and salvage demand. Generally, structural burn, melted wiring, or extensive interior damage reduce value more than isolated engine or trim damage. Buyers price offers against the local salvage market and recycling costs.
| Damage Type | Typical Impact on Offer |
|---|---|
| Superficial interior burn | Moderate impact - many mechanical parts still valuable |
| Engine bay fire | Higher impact - wiring and electronics often destroyed |
| Total loss / extensively burnt | Lower offers - value mainly from metal and salvageable components |

Our streamlined service is designed for simplicity and speed. Submit vehicle details and photos, receive a clear, obligation-free valuation, accept the offer, and we arrange free collection. We handle paperwork including deregistration and transfer where required, and arrange fast payment after collection. This removes towing and disposal headaches for owners in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and beyond.
If your vehicle no longer runs after a fire, see our dedicated guidance on selling non-running vehicles at Sell Non-Running Car. To begin the valuation and get your offer, Get your free quote by uploading vehicle details now.
Trust & transparency: We provide clear offers and work with licensed salvage partners. Accepting an offer includes free towing and handled admin so you can move on with minimal effort.
After collection, certified dismantlers and recyclers assess salvageable parts and ensure environmentally compliant disposal of hazardous materials. This reduces legal and environmental risk for owners. If your vehicle is under finance, inform your lender; we can coordinate settlements and documentation as part of the collection process.
