Get a fast cash payment for your scrap car in South Africa. Free nationwide collection, paperwork handled and prompt payment for written-off, non-running or salvage vehicles.
If you have a scrap, salvage or non-running vehicle in South Africa, you can convert it to cash quickly. Sell Your Damaged Car buys vehicles in any condition, handles paperwork (including deregistration) and arranges free towing across Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and nationwide.
Selling your scrap car privately or to a wrecker can be time-consuming, involve towing costs and leave you managing complex paperwork. A specialist buyer provides a competitive cash offer, collects the vehicle for free and completes the necessary admin so you receive payment quickly and with minimal hassle.
Provide vehicle details and photos using our quick online form. We use year, make, model, visible damage and salvage-market demand to produce a transparent cash offer. If you accept, we schedule free collection and finalise payment.
| Service Step | What to expect |
|---|---|
| Online quote | Submit photos and details; receive an obligation-free cash offer. |
| Accept offer | Confirm and choose a collection time that suits you. |
| Collection & payment | Free towing, paperwork handled, payment released and verified quickly. |
Tip: Have clear photos of exterior damage, engine bay and licence disc ready. This speeds valuation and helps ensure an accurate cash offer. For advice on preparing your vehicle, see how to prepare salvage cars for sale.
Valuations reflect the vehicle's make, model, year, mileage, visible damage and the local salvage market demand. Market prices for scrap metal and parts can vary, so offers are tailored to current conditions in South Africa. Example administrative factors include deregistration costs and any outstanding finance checks; these are handled during the sale process.
| Damage Type | Typical impact on offer |
|---|---|
| Structural/frame damage | Lower offer due to limited repair or parts value. |
| Engine or gearbox failure | Reduced value unless components are salvageable. |
| Flood/fire damage | Often significant reduction; valuable parts may still be recovered. |
To get a quick cash quote for your scrap car, upload vehicle details and photos using our online form. If you accept the offer we arrange free collection anywhere in South Africa and pay you promptly after paperwork is completed. For an instant start, visit sell my salvage car south africa and choose "Upload vehicle details" to begin.

Wondering how we calculate your car’s value? At Sell Your Damaged Car, we look at: Your car’s real condition, its salvage value, and the current market demand. It’s all about honesty, transparency, and fairness — that’s how we determine your offer.
