Free Towing & Paperwork
We collect nationwide and help with transfer and deregistration steps.
Fast, Transparent Offers
Condition-based valuations and prompt payment after collection.
If your car has been in an accident in Soweto and you don’t want to pay for repairs, selling it as-is is a fast, practical option. Sell Your Damaged Car buys accident-damaged, non-running and written-off vehicles across South Africa, handling free towing, paperwork and prompt payment so you don’t have to arrange repairs or transport.
Repairing an accident vehicle can be costly and time-consuming. In many cases - especially for older cars or those with structural damage - the repair bill exceeds the vehicle’s retained market value. Selling without repair avoids storage and towing fees, reduces the time you spend managing quotes and garages, and transfers regulatory admin to a specialist buyer.
| Damage Type | Typical Impact on Offer |
|---|---|
| Minor panel damage | Lower impact - repair costs modest, salvage demand remains |
| Structural or chassis damage | Significant reduction - major repairs required or sold for parts |
| Mechanical failure (non-running) | Offer reflects parting-out or repair cost risk |
| Flood or fire damage | High impact - specialist salvage market required |
Our valuations are based on make, model, year, current condition and regional salvage demand. For a detailed view of accepted conditions and the online process, see the About / How it works page or learn more about selling damaged cars on our site.
Selling an accident vehicle in South Africa requires correct documentation. If the vehicle is financed, settlement with the lender is necessary before transfer. We assist with documentation steps and provide guidance on deregistration where applicable. Always check your financer’s requirements before agreeing to sell; failure to settle finance can affect transfer.
| Type of Repair | Typical SA Cost (est.) | Value impact |
|---|---|---|
| Minor panel/paint | R2,000-R8,000 (estimate) | Small uplift if done professionally |
| Major structural repair | R15,000-R60,000+ (estimate) | Often exceeds uplift; selling as-is may be better |
| Engine/transmission rebuild | R10,000-R70,000 (estimate) | High cost; impacts decision to repair vs sell |
Figures above are South Africa estimates to illustrate repair vs value trade-offs and will vary by vehicle, region and supplier.
After we collect your vehicle from Soweto, we verify the condition and complete the agreed paperwork. Payment is released and verified to your nominated bank account. If you need guidance about selling a non-running vehicle, our Sell Non-Running Car page explains common scenarios.
