If you need to sell a wrecked car to national buyers in South Africa, a streamlined solution saves time and reduces hassle. Sell Your Damaged Car buys written-off, accident-damaged, non-running and salvage vehicles across Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban and surrounding areas. We provide free towing, handle the paperwork (including deregistration where applicable) and release fast payment once the vehicle is collected.
We purchase cars in any condition - from totalled write-offs to cars that won’t start. Offers are based on vehicle data, visible damage, salvage market demand and the vehicle’s remaining value. Our nationwide network lets you sell your wrecked car to national buyers without arranging transport or handling complex admin yourself.
Start quickly: Get your free quote by uploading photos and basic details. If you prefer more detail on how our process works, see our About / How it works page for a step-by-step overview.
Quick example: Submit vehicle photos and details, receive a competitive cash offer, accept and schedule collection - we tow the vehicle for free and pay you after collection and paperwork verification.
If your vehicle doesn’t start or has been written off by an insurer, our specialised buying service accepts those vehicles. For owners of non-running cars, you can also review specifics on our Sell Non-Running Car page to see what info speeds up valuation.
The process is designed for speed and clarity. You upload vehicle details and photos, we provide an obligation-free offer, and if you accept, we arrange free collection and complete the admin. Payment is released and verified promptly after collection. Use the homepage link to Upload vehicle details now and receive a quick response.
| Damage Type | Typical Impact on Offer |
|---|---|
| Structural/frame damage | Significant reduction due to repair complexity and safety concerns |
| Engine or transmission failure | Lower offers but parts value can offset some loss |
| Cosmetic or panel damage | Smaller impact; suitable for repair or parts resale |
| Flood or fire damage | Offers depend on damage extent; electrical/fuse damage reduces value |
If your car is financed, inform your lender - many sales can proceed but settling the outstanding finance is required before transfer. We assist with paperwork and can liaise with lenders and the relevant authorities to make the sale straightforward. For more on selling damaged cars and what to expect, see our Sell Damaged Cars page.
When you’re ready, Upload vehicle details, accept an offer and Confirm collection - we collect for free and you Get paid fast after paperwork is completed.

Wondering how we calculate your car’s value? At Sell Your Damaged Car, we look at: Your car’s real condition, its salvage value, and the current market demand. It’s all about honesty, transparency, and fairness — that’s how we determine your offer.
