Sell your water-damaged car for parts quickly. We buy flood-damaged vehicles nationwide, handle paperwork and towing, and provide fast payment across South Africa.
We Buy Water-Damaged Cars
Any condition accepted; suitable vehicles are purchased for parts and salvage.
Free Nationwide Towing
Pick-up from metros and rural areas across South Africa at no cost.
Paperwork & Fast Payment
We handle deregistration and arrange prompt payment after collection.
If your car has flood or water damage and is better suited for parts than repair, Sell Your Damaged Car buys vehicles in any condition, offers free nationwide towing, handles deregistration and paperwork, and issues fast payment once we collect.
Water ingress can harm electrical systems, engines and interiors in ways that are expensive or impossible to fully repair. For many owners in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and surrounding areas, selling the car for parts is a practical route that recovers value quickly while avoiding repair uncertainty and storage costs.
Many components remain valuable to wreckers and repairers even if the vehicle won't run. Demand varies by make, model and the extent of water exposure.
| Component | Typical viability after water damage |
|---|---|
| Body panels & trim | Often usable if not corroded; high demand for popular models |
| Engine & gearbox (sealed units) | Condition-dependent; some units are refurbished or stripped for parts |
| Interior components (seats, dash) | Often water-stained; some items remain reusable if cleaned |
| Electrical modules & sensors | High risk after flooding; inspected case-by-case |
To learn more about how we assess condition and parts value, see our Sell Damaged Cars page for details on accepted conditions and common examples.
We make selling a water-damaged car straightforward so you can move on quickly.
Start by uploading photos and details now: Get your free quote or Upload vehicle details.
We handle standard paperwork and assist with deregistration and transfer documentation after collection. If the vehicle is under finance, inform your lender - proceeds may need to be applied to the outstanding balance before ownership transfer. We provide documentation and contact with your finance provider where required to smooth the process.
Provide clear, recent photos (engine bay, interior, VIN/chassis, visible damage) and accurate descriptions of water exposure. Removing personal items and having vehicle documents and keys ready speeds collection and payment. For advice on non-running vehicles, see our Sell Non-Running Car page.
