Have a storm-damaged car that won't start? Get a transparent cash offer, free nationwide towing, paperwork handled and fast payment from Sell Your Damaged Car.
Sell Non-Running Vehicles
We buy storm-damaged cars that won't start and handle towing and paperwork.
Free Nationwide Towing
Collection from Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and surrounding areas at no cost.
Fast Payment & Paperwork
We assist with deregistration, lender settlements and quick payment after collection.
Storms can cause flood, hail, wiring faults and battery or starter damage that leaves a vehicle immobile. Selling a storm-damaged car that won't start in South Africa often makes sense when repair costs, time and ongoing storage risk outweigh the likely recovery value. We buy vehicles in any condition and arrange free towing and admin nationwide, including major metros like Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban.
There are practical reasons owners choose to sell rather than repair: high repair quotes, water damage that can cause hidden electrical faults, insurance write-offs, or fleet downtime for small businesses. Selling avoids towing costs, repeated workshop visits and the uncertainty of repairs on vehicles exposed to flood or severe weather.
Offers for a storm-damaged car that won't start are transparent and based on make, model year, odometer, visible damage, photographic evidence and local salvage demand. We consider South Africa-specific market factors (demand in Cape Town vs Johannesburg, parts availability) and provide a competitive cash offer reflective of current salvage market conditions.
Submit photos and vehicle details using our quick online form. After you upload images and a short description, we return an obligation-free valuation. If you accept, we arrange free nationwide towing, complete the required paperwork including deregistration assistance, and release fast payment once the vehicle is collected.
Learn more about the types of damaged cars we buy on our Sell Damaged Cars page, and read how our collection and admin works on the About / How it works page.
If your vehicle has been declared an insurance write-off, or sits on private property and won’t move, selling for salvage can free up space and return cash quickly without the hassle of sourcing specialist repairs.
Once you accept our cash offer for your storm-damaged car that won't start, we schedule collection at a time that suits you. Our nationwide towing network covers metros and surrounding regions - including Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban - at no cost to you. We handle identity verification, transfer paperwork and deregistration assistance where needed, and release fast payment shortly after collection.
Vehicles still under finance require settlement or lender consent; we can work with you and your lender to complete the necessary steps. Deregistration is handled to reduce administrative burden. Flood- and storm-damaged cars can hide progressive corrosion - selling sooner usually preserves value and avoids further deterioration.
Private owners with immobile storm-damaged cars, landlords clearing damaged fleet vehicles, and small businesses needing quick turnaround on non-starting units will find the process time-saving and low hassle. For non-running cars specifically, see our Sell Non-Running Car page for details tailored to immobile vehicles.
Get your free quote by uploading vehicle details and photos to our homepage. We’ll provide a competitive cash offer, arrange free towing, and take care of paperwork and fast payment nationwide. Start the process now by visiting the homepage and uploading your vehicle details.

Wondering how we calculate your car’s value? At Sell Your Damaged Car, we look at: Your car’s real condition, its salvage value, and the current market demand. It’s all about honesty, transparency, and fairness — that’s how we determine your offer.
