Sell your scrap bakkie in South Africa with free towing, paperwork handled and fast payment. Get a competitive cash offer and nationwide collection today.
Any-Condition Bakkies
We buy scrap bakkies whether non-running, written-off or fire- and flood-damaged.
Free Nationwide Towing
We collect from Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and surrounding areas at no cost.
Paperwork & Fast Payment
We handle deregistration and release payment promptly after collection.
If you want to sell scrap bakkie and secure a competitive cash offer, choosing a specialist buyer that handles collection, paperwork and payment simplifies the process. We buy bakkies in any condition - accident-damaged, non-running, written-off or simply at end-of-life - and arrange free towing and admin so you don’t have to manage logistics.
Specialist buyers understand salvage demand, parts value and scrap processing - that knowledge helps produce transparent, fair offers. When you choose a service that handles towing and paperwork, you avoid advertising costs, towing fees and the time sink of private sales.
| Scenario | Typical outcome |
|---|---|
| Major structural or engine damage | Selling as scrap is usually faster and lower hassle than costly repairs. |
| Older bakkie with high mileage | Scrap sale avoids continued upkeep and yields immediate cash for replacement. |
If you want to understand our full buying process and trust signals, read more about our approach on the About / How it works page. For owners of non-running vehicles specifically, see our Sell Non-Running Car resource.
Fast checklist: photos of your bakkie, brief damage description, registration papers (if available) and bank details for payment.
The process is designed to be simple: upload photos and details, receive an offer, accept if it meets your needs, and we arrange collection and payment. You can Get your free quote or start by choosing to Upload vehicle details on our homepage.
Offers reflect condition, age, usable parts, salvage demand for that make and model, and current scrap metal prices. Flood or fire damage, structural compromise, and whether the vehicle is under finance will influence valuation. If the bakkie is still under finance, we explain options and necessary lender consent during the paperwork stage.
| Damage type | Typical impact on offer |
|---|---|
| Minor panels & cosmetic | Lower impact; parts often retain value. |
| Engine or drivetrain failure | Moderate to significant impact depending on repairability. |
| Structural/frame damage | Higher impact; commonly sold for scrap or parts. |
Practical example: a Johannesburg owner with a non-running bakkie can upload photos, accept a competitive cash offer and schedule collection - avoiding towing charges and private-sale delays. If you need help working through lender requirements or paperwork, our team guides you every step of the way.
Need a tow? We got you
Get a cash offer within 24h!
Somewhere remote? No problem!
Wondering how we calculate your car’s value? At Sell Your Damaged Car, we look at: Your car’s real condition, its salvage value, and the current market demand. It’s all about honesty, transparency, and fairness — that’s how we determine your offer.
