Sell your non-running car nationwide. We offer free towing, paperwork assistance including deregistration, and fast payment across Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban.
Free Nationwide Towing
We collect non-running cars across South Africa at no cost to you.
Paperwork Handled
We assist with deregistration, transfer and finance settlement guidance.
Fast, Transparent Offers
Submit photos and details online to receive a competitive cash offer.
If your car won’t start, has accident damage or has been written off, selling to a specialist removes towing, storage and admin headaches. We buy non-running cars in any condition and provide free nationwide towing, assistance with paperwork including deregistration, and fast payment.
Repairing a non-running vehicle can be costly, uncertain and time-consuming. For many owners in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban the combined expense of parts, labour and recovery exceeds the practical value retained by the car. Selling frees up cash, eliminates ongoing storage bills, and transfers repair risk to a buyer who specialises in salvage, parts or rebuilds.
We purchase non-running cars regardless of cause: mechanical failure, accident damage, flood or simply long-term breakdown. Offers are based on make, model, year, odometer, visible damage and salvage market demand in South Africa. Transparency matters - we explain which factors most affect a cash offer.
| Damage / Condition | Typical offer impact |
|---|---|
| Major structural (write-off) | Higher reduction due to repair complexity and salvage handling |
| Engine or transmission failure | Moderate reduction; value retained for parts or rebuilds |
| Cosmetic damage / non-running | Lower reduction; often attractive for parts market |
For a quick estimate tailored to your vehicle, use our simple online form. Upload clear photos and accurate details to speed up the valuation. Learn more about the process on our About / How it works page.
Yes, we collect from private addresses, repair shops and storage yards. If your vehicle is under finance, we can guide you through settlement steps so transfer and payment proceed correctly. Read practical guidance on the Sell Non-Running Car page.
Our process is built for speed and clarity. Submit vehicle details and photos online, receive a transparent cash offer, accept if it fits your needs, then we schedule free towing and complete paperwork before paying you. This removes logistical burdens for private owners and small business fleets across South Africa.
Good photos and accurate descriptions improve the speed and quality of an offer. Include clear images of the engine bay, odometer, interior and all damaged areas. Have vehicle documentation, keys and any service records available for collection. If your car is still registered under finance, tell us so we can advise on settlement steps.
| Action | Why it helps |
|---|---|
| Provide multiple photos | Faster, more accurate offers with fewer follow-ups |
| List outstanding finance | Ensures correct settlement and transfer process |
| Note special parts or modifications | Can positively influence salvage and parts valuations |
If you want the convenience of free towing and a handled sale, start by visiting our homepage and uploading your vehicle details. For a straightforward transaction and transparent valuation, use the form to Get your free quote or view what we buy.
We work with owners across metros and rural areas, and with small fleet operators who need predictable, low-administration disposals. Where legal or registration steps are required, we provide clear guidance so transfers comply with South African regulations and banks when finance is involved.

Somewhere remote? No problem!
Wondering how we calculate your car’s value? At Sell Your Damaged Car, we look at: Your car’s real condition, its salvage value, and the current market demand. It’s all about honesty, transparency, and fairness — that’s how we determine your offer.
