Sell your BMW with engine damage quickly. Get a clear cash offer, free nationwide towing, handled paperwork and fast payment - upload photos to get started.
Any-Condition BMWs
We buy BMWs with engine damage, non-running or written-off.
Free Nationwide Towing
Collection anywhere in South Africa at no cost to you.
Paperwork & Fast Payment
We handle deregistration and release payment after collection.
If you need to sell my BMW with engine damage, you’re not alone. Engine failure on premium models can make repairs costly and time-consuming. Sell Your Damaged Car buys BMWs in any condition - accident-damaged, non-running, written-off or with major mechanical faults - and provides free nationwide towing, simple paperwork handling (including deregistration where needed) and fast payment.
Repair bills for engine issues on BMWs often run into tens of thousands of rand. Selling to a specialist can reduce the hassle and uncertainty of private sales or extensive ?????? work. We assess market demand for salvage parts and the cost to repair before making a transparent offer.
Offers consider the BMW model, year, overall condition, salvageable parts demand and local market prices. We avoid guesswork: after you upload photos and details, we return a clear cash offer you can accept or decline.
| Repair cost vs value retained (example ranges) | Typical South African context (R) |
|---|---|
| Major engine rebuild/replacement | R30,000 - R120,000 (estimate depending on model) |
| Used-engine swap and labour | R20,000 - R60,000 |
| Average retained market value after repair | Highly variable; often less than repair cost |
Learn more about how we handle damaged vehicles on our About / How it works page. If your BMW no longer starts at all, our Sell Non-Running Car guide explains the details we need for an accurate offer.
Example: owners in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban value the convenience of free towing and handled admin when deciding to sell a BMW with engine damage rather than managing repairs or private sale logistics.
Once you accept the offer to sell my BMW with engine damage, we arrange collection at a time that suits you. Our towing is nationwide and free, covering metros and surrounding areas. After collection we complete required paperwork and release payment - providing you with confirmation and proof of transaction for your records.
We handle standard admin tasks including transfer paperwork and assistance with deregistration when applicable. If your BMW is still under finance, tell us during valuation; we will explain the settlement process so that the finance account is cleared before finalising payment. For details on our buying criteria, see our Sell Damaged Cars page.
| Damage types | Typical impact on offer |
|---|---|
| Seized or destroyed engine | Significant reduction; offer reflects parts and scrap value |
| Internal mechanical damage (timing chain, head gasket) | Moderate-to-high impact depending on model and part availability |
| Cosmetic or minor mechanical faults | Lower impact; better offers if driveline intact |
Ready to get started? Upload vehicle details and get your free quote. You can also confirm collection and get paid fast after we collect your BMW.
We operate nationwide in South Africa, serving private owners and small fleet operators. All transactions include documentation and bank-verified payments. For a short overview of our process and company background, visit our About / How it works page.

Wondering how we calculate your car’s value? At Sell Your Damaged Car, we look at: Your car’s real condition, its salvage value, and the current market demand. It’s all about honesty, transparency, and fairness — that’s how we determine your offer.
