Sell your hail-damaged, non-running car in Johannesburg. Get an obligation-free cash offer, free local towing and paperwork handled - nationwide service.
Any-Condition Accepted
We buy hail-damaged, non-running and written-off vehicles in Johannesburg.
Free Towing & Paperwork
Local collection in Johannesburg with admin help and deregistration support.
Fast, Transparent Payment
Receive a competitive cash offer and timely payment after collection.
If your vehicle has been hit by hail and won’t start, selling it to a specialist buyer is often quicker and lower stress than arranging repairs. We buy hail-damaged and not-running cars across Johannesburg and surrounding areas, handling collection, admin and payment so owners - private or fleet managers - can close the chapter without towing costs or prolonged downtime.
Large hail can cause body, glass and mechanical shock damage that is expensive to diagnose and repair. For many owners in Johannesburg, especially when a vehicle is not running, the combined costs of towing, parts and labour - plus the time the car is off the road - make selling a practical option. We provide a competitive cash offer based on condition, market demand and salvageability.
Learn more about our process and what we buy on our Sell Damaged Cars page and how we operate on the About / How it works page.
Offers reflect the vehicle’s make, model, year, mileage, the extent of hail and related mechanical damage, and current demand in the salvage market in South Africa. For non-running cars we also factor towing logistics and expected dismantling or repair costs for salvage buyers in Johannesburg and Gauteng.
| Damage Type | Typical Offer Impact |
|---|---|
| Superficial hail dents (panels intact) | Low to moderate impact |
| Windshield & window breakage | Moderate impact |
| Structural or mechanical shock causing no-start | High impact |
Note: these categories are qualitative. Each vehicle is assessed individually and offers are transparent. If you have a hail-damaged, non-running vehicle in Johannesburg, our online form helps us give a fast, obligation-free valuation.
We make selling a hail-damaged, non-running car straightforward: upload details and photos, receive an offer, accept if it suits you, and we arrange collection and payment. For sellers in Johannesburg we coordinate local tow partners and handle all admin, including deregistration support where required.
Free towing across Johannesburg and Gauteng removes one major cost hurdle for non-running vehicles. Our teams coordinate with you to choose a convenient pickup time and complete transfer documents on-site when possible. Fleet owners and private sellers benefit from the same nationwide coverage and streamlined admin.
Practical note: For hail-damaged cars that won’t start, have photos of body panels, both sides of the engine bay and any visible electrical damage ready - this speeds up valuation and collection scheduling.
If your car is not running, you can also see guidance tailored to non-running vehicles on our Sell Non-Running Car page. For more about our service approach and customer experience, visit our homepage.
After we collect your hail-damaged, non-running car in Johannesburg, we finalise the paperwork, assist with deregistration where applicable, and release payment. For vehicles under finance, we work with you and the finance provider to ensure transfer steps follow legal requirements - bring your finance details when accepting an offer.

Wondering how we calculate your car’s value? At Sell Your Damaged Car, we look at: Your car’s real condition, its salvage value, and the current market demand. It’s all about honesty, transparency, and fairness — that’s how we determine your offer.
