Sell your fire-damaged car in South Africa with free nationwide towing, paperwork assistance and fast payment. Upload photos, get an offer and confirm collection today.
We Buy Fire-Damaged Cars
Get a transparent cash offer for vehicles with interior, engine or electrical fire damage.
Free Nationwide Towing
We collect your vehicle anywhere in South Africa at no cost to you.
Paperwork & Fast Payment
We handle sale documents and deregistration guidance, then pay you quickly.
If your vehicle has fire damage, the process of selling it can feel complex - from assessing structural and electrical damage to arranging collection and deregistration. Sell Your Damaged Car buys fire-damaged cars across South Africa, offering free towing, paperwork assistance and fast payment. This service is designed for private owners and small fleets in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and beyond who want a straightforward way to convert a fire-damaged vehicle into cash without repair hassles.
Fire damage often affects wiring, plastics, interior trim and critical safety systems. Repairs can be costly, time-consuming and may not restore resale value proportionate to expense. Selling a fire-damaged car with towing included avoids repair logistics and unexpected costs, and removes the burden of organising a tow or dealing with buyers who avoid damaged vehicles.
Offers for fire-damaged cars take into account make, model, year, mileage, visible damage, and the salvage market demand for parts in South Africa. We provide a transparent valuation based on condition and current parts demand and explain inclusions such as free towing and paperwork handling.
| Repair cost vs value retained (example) | Estimated range (R, South Africa) |
|---|---|
| Minor interior fire (seat/trim, recoverable) | R8,000 - R25,000 (repairs may not fully restore resale value) |
| Engine bay/electrical fire (non-running) | R25,000 - R120,000+ (repair cost often exceeds retained value) |
These figures are illustrative estimates for South Africa and will vary by vehicle make, model and local labour/parts costs. Rather than committing to uncertain repair expenses, many owners prefer a competitive cash offer plus included towing and admin support.
Learn more about how we handle non-running vehicles on our Sell Non-Running Car and the types we buy on our Sell Damaged Cars page. For company background and how collections are scheduled, see our About & How it Works.
Once you accept a cash offer for your fire-damaged car, the process is organised to minimise effort on your side. We arrange free towing from your location, complete the required sale paperwork, and release payment promptly after vehicle collection and verification. For most transactions inside major centres such as Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban, collection scheduling is flexible to suit your availability.
| Damage type | How it affects offers |
|---|---|
| Surface interior scorch marks | Lower repair costs; moderate effect on offers |
| Wiring/electrical fire | Significant effect; may render car non-running |
| Structural or engine compartment fire | Major impact; parts/salvage value considered |
SA note: If a vehicle is under finance, you must inform the financier. We can work with owners and finance houses to settle outstanding debt where required and complete transfer/deregistration steps in line with South African procedures.
Ready to start? Get your free quote by uploading vehicle details on our homepage and choose the option to include towing - we cover collection anywhere in South Africa and will explain the next steps clearly.
