Sell your Code 3, non-running vehicle across South Africa. Get a competitive cash offer, free towing, paperwork assistance and fast payment - start by uploading vehicle details.
We Buy Code 3, Not-Running Cars
Competitive cash offers for written-off or non-running vehicles nationwide.
Free Towing Included
We arrange towing from Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and surrounding areas.
Paperwork & Fast Payment
We handle deregistration and release payment quickly after collection.
If your vehicle is classified as Code 3 and is not running, you don’t have to manage costly repairs, towing logistics or time-consuming private sales. Sell Your Damaged Car buys vehicles in any condition, offers free towing across South Africa, assists with paperwork (including deregistration) and releases fast payment once collection is complete. This service is available for private owners and small business fleets in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and surrounding regions.
Code 3 classifications typically indicate significant damage or that an insurer has deemed the vehicle beyond economical repair. That classification can affect roadworthiness and resale channels, but it does not prevent a sale to a specialist buyer. We purchase Code 3, written-off or salvage-designated cars whether they are non-running or require towing.
Complete our short online form and upload clear photos. Based on the vehicle details and damage description we provide an obligation-free competitive cash offer. If you accept, we schedule free towing from your location and complete the paperwork before releasing payment. Start by visiting our homepage: Get your free quote.
| Damage type | How it affects offers |
|---|---|
| Structural/frame damage | Reduces market repair routes; specialist salvage interest remains. |
| Engine or transmission failure | Commonly towed; parts value and salvage demand determine the offer. |
| Flood or fire damage | Specialist buyers assess corrosion or electrical loss; still tradeable to salvage market. |
For more detail on selling a non-running vehicle, see our Sell Non-Running Car page. If your car is accident-damaged but still moveable, our Sell Damaged Cars resource explains typical outcomes and paperwork.
1) Submit vehicle details and photos online. Provide as much information as possible about the Code 3 designation, visible damage and whether the car is on the road or needs towing. 2) Receive a transparent cash offer based on condition, model, year and salvage demand. 3) Accept the offer and schedule free towing. 4) We complete transfer paperwork, handle deregistration where applicable, and release fast payment after collection.
We arrange professional towing at no charge from most metro and surrounding areas, including Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban. For remote locations we provide clear guidance on collection timing. Towing is coordinated once the offer is accepted so you don’t need to arrange transport or pay additional fees. To begin, upload vehicle details and photos.
We assist with transfer documents and deregistration steps customary in South Africa. If your vehicle is still under finance, notify the lender-we can work with you and the finance company to clear the outstanding balance as part of the settlement process. Our team explains the documentation needed at collection to ensure a secure, auditable sale.
If you want a fast outcome for a Code 3 car that is not running, get a competitive cash offer by visiting our homepage: Get your free quote. Learn more about our process on the About page: How it works. When you accept an offer, confirm collection and we will tow your car and pay you quickly - helping you move on with minimal hassle.
Need a tow? We got you
Get a cash offer within 24h!
Somewhere remote? No problem!
Wondering how we calculate your car’s value? At Sell Your Damaged Car, we look at: Your car’s real condition, its salvage value, and the current market demand. It’s all about honesty, transparency, and fairness — that’s how we determine your offer.
