Sell a car with suspension damage after an accident. Get a transparent cash offer, free nationwide towing, paperwork handled and fast payment from Sell Your Damaged Car.
Sell Suspension-Damaged Cars
We buy vehicles with suspension damage, accident write-offs and non-runners.
Free Nationwide Towing
Collection across South Africa, including Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban.
Paperwork & Fast Payment
We handle deregistration and admin, with quick payment after collection.
If your car sustained suspension damage in an accident, you may be weighing repair costs against selling. Selling a vehicle with suspension issues is a common route for private owners and small fleets that need speed, minimal admin and reliable collection. We buy cars in any condition, handle deregistration and paperwork, and provide free towing nationwide - useful when suspension damage makes a vehicle unsafe or non-running.
Suspension damage can range from bent control arms or damaged struts to collapsed springs and broken subframes. The severity affects repair cost, roadworthiness and buyer interest. A specialist buyer evaluates visible damage, underlying chassis or mounting point issues, and whether the car is currently movable.
| Scenario | Typical repair cost (R, est.) | Likely seller outcome |
|---|---|---|
| Minor component damage (replace strut/spring) | R4,000 - R12,000 | Repair may be viable if car value is high |
| Bent control arm/subframe alignment | R8,000 - R25,000+ | Often better to sell as damaged; costs escalate |
| Severe frame or multiple suspension points | R20,000 - R60,000+ | Most owners choose to sell to specialist buyers |
| Damage type | How it affects offers |
|---|---|
| Cosmetic suspension damage (isolated strut/spring) | Lower impact; buyer can repair and resell |
| Structural or subframe damage | Significantly reduces retail value; salvage interest increases |
| Non-running due to suspension collapse | Requires towing; offers account for collection cost and repair risk |
If you want an immediate, obligation-free assessment based on photographs and a brief description, use the online valuation on our homepage to start the process. For situations where the car will not move, our Sell Non-Running Car guidance explains required photos and details.
Our online process is designed for owners who need speed and clarity. Upload make, model, year, photos showing suspension and chassis areas, and a short damage summary. We respond with a transparent cash offer. If you accept, we arrange collection (free towing nationwide), handle the paperwork including deregistration where required, and release fast payment after vehicle collection.
We buy vehicles with suspension damage, accident write-offs, non-running cars and salvage. Our service includes free towing across Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban and other regions, handling of sale paperwork and deregistration support, and quick payment once the vehicle is collected. You can review how the company operates on our About / How it works page to understand verification and admin steps.
Note: Offers reflect condition, market salvage demand and potential repair complexity. For vehicles still under finance, disclose outstanding finance so we can advise on settlement options before transfer.
