Sell your non-starting or non-running car in SA. Free nationwide towing, paperwork handled and fast payment. Get a transparent cash offer today.
We Buy Non-Starting Cars
Sell your vehicle in any condition, including cars that won't start.
Free Nationwide Towing
We arrange collection from Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and beyond.
Paperwork & Fast Payment
We handle transfer/deregistration guidance and release payment after collection.
If your car won't start, is non-running after an accident, or has major mechanical failure, selling to a specialist buyer avoids repair uncertainty, storage fees and private-sale hassles. Sell Your Damaged Car buys vehicles in any condition and arranges free nationwide towing, handles paperwork and releases payment quickly after collection. This service is available across Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and surrounding areas.
We accept accident-damaged, fire- or flood-affected, written-off and mechanically-failed vehicles - whether they start or not. Our service includes a transparent, obligation-free cash offer, free towing from your location, handling of required paperwork (including transfer and deregistration assistance where applicable) and fast payment after collection.
Begin by uploading basic vehicle details and photos to our site. Within a short time you receive an offer you can accept or decline. To start, visit our homepage or go directly to the Sell Non-Running Car form for non-starting vehicles.
Towing a non-starting vehicle from home, work or a recovery yard can be costly and logistically difficult, especially outside major metros. Free towing removes that barrier and makes selling straightforward for owners across Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban and remote areas. We coordinate collection times that suit your schedule and confirm identification and paperwork details before arrival.
After you accept an offer we confirm collection and paperwork details, arrange free towing, complete required transfer and deregistration steps (where relevant), and release payment shortly after the vehicle is collected. We prioritise transparent offers based on the vehicle condition, model year and current salvage demand in South Africa.
We assist with transfer of ownership, deregistration guidance and provide a sale receipt. If the vehicle is still under finance we explain the options and typical next steps so you can settle or get lender consent - our team can liaise directly when authorised. For a succinct overview of our approach to damaged and non-running vehicles, see our Sell Damaged Cars page and learn how we assess condition and value.
We confirm collection details, tow the vehicle at no charge, and complete payment arrangements so funds are released and verified promptly after collection. This reduces the time you spend following up and removes the need to coordinate independent tow services or public listings.
If you want to understand the full process and our company background, review our About / How it works page. Selling a vehicle that won’t start can be straightforward when towing, paperwork and payment are managed for you - we focus on clear communication and low-friction transactions across South Africa.

Somewhere remote? No problem!
Wondering how we calculate your car’s value? At Sell Your Damaged Car, we look at: Your car’s real condition, its salvage value, and the current market demand. It’s all about honesty, transparency, and fairness — that’s how we determine your offer.
