Need to sell a burnt bakkie fast? Get a competitive cash offer, free nationwide collection and help with paperwork. Upload photos and get paid quickly.
Fast Online Valuation
Upload details and photos to get an obligation-free cash offer quickly.
Free Nationwide Towing
We collect burnt bakkies anywhere in South Africa at no cost to you.
Paperwork & Payment Handled
We assist with deregistration, lender settlement and prompt payment.
If your bakkie has suffered fire damage, you may want to sell burn-damaged vehicles quickly to avoid storage costs, potential legal issues and further deterioration. Sell Your Damaged Car buys burnt, written-off and non-running vehicles across South Africa, offering a straightforward online valuation, free towing and assistance with paperwork. The process is designed for private owners and small fleets in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and surrounding areas.
Quick note: We buy bakkies in any condition and handle towing and paperwork nationwide - learn more about how we work on our About / How it works page.
Not all fire damage is the same. Buyers consider visible scorch, structural integrity, engine condition and salvage demand. Below is a simple reference table showing typical impact levels (not a price guarantee).
| Damage Type | Typical Offer Impact | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Surface/paint scorch | Low to medium | Cosmetic only if no electrical/structural damage |
| Engine bay or wiring fire | High | Electrical and mechanical replacement often required |
| Cabin/interior burn | Medium to high | Safety systems and interior components frequently irreparable |
| Severe structural/frame fire | Very high | Often classed as total loss or salvage |
To start the valuation process, you can upload vehicle details on our homepage. Accurate photos of the burnt areas and the engine bay speed up the offer process.
If your bakkie no longer starts after fire damage, see our guidance on selling non-running vehicles at Sell Non-Running Car.
Our goal is speed and clarity: get an offer, accept it, and we arrange free nationwide collection. Typical steps:
When selling a burnt bakkie, ensure you have the vehicle registration documents and ID for verification. If the vehicle is under finance, inform your lender - settlement must be arranged before transfer. We assist with administrative steps including submission for deregistration where required by local authorities. For more on our company process, see Sell Damaged Cars.
We buy burnt bakkies from individuals and small businesses across major metro areas and rural regions. If you want a quick start, get your free quote by uploading vehicle details now - accept the transparent offer and confirm collection for free towing and prompt payment.
After we collect your burnt bakkie, we complete required transfer paperwork and deregistration steps (if applicable). Payment is processed and verified quickly. You will receive confirmation and documentation for your records. If the vehicle was financed, we work with your lender to confirm settlement before transfer of ownership.
