Need to sell your accident damaged car for cash? Get a quick, competitive offer, free collection, and SA paperwork support with Sell Your Damaged Car.
When your vehicle has suffered accident damage-whether it's a fender bender, major collision, or written-off by insurance-repair costs can be unpredictable and often exceed the car's future value. Selling to an accident-damage specialist like Sell Your Damaged Car provides a quick, simple, and secure route to cash without the hassle of repair quotes, advertising, or time-consuming negotiations. Our nationwide service, free towing, and help with all paperwork ensure a seamless transaction, whether you're in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, or any nearby area.
Deciding to sell or repair a damaged vehicle depends on the type and extent of damage, insurance settlement, and your car's pre-accident value. Many accident-damaged cars in South Africa become financially impractical to repair. Here's a summary to help:
| Repair Cost % of Car Value | Typical Outcome |
|---|---|
| Less than 25% | Usually worth repairing |
| 25-50% | Repair possible, but compare with current resale options |
| Over 50% | Often best to sell as damaged or salvage |
Other factors include waiting times for spares, the risk of hidden structural faults, loss of value after repairs, and the stress of dealing with multiple service providers.
Sell Your Damaged Car is built for South Africans who want to sell vehicles with accident damage swiftly and safely-without worrying about arranging towing, paperwork, or private buyer risks. Here's how we simplify the process:
In South Africa, selling your accident-damaged car through a specialist reduces the risk of scams and avoids the stress of dealing with multiple offers or difficult private buyers. We make the process transparent from start to finish.
South African vehicle owners must formally deregister a written-off or permanently damaged vehicle with the relevant licensing department. When using Sell Your Damaged Car, we help guide you through this process and handle proof of sale, making sure you aren't liable once the car is collected.
The offer for your accident-damaged car depends on specific factors. Transparent valuation ensures you get a competitive cash offer tailored to your situation.
| Type of Accident Damage | Usual Impact on Offer |
|---|---|
| Panel/Bodywork only | Mild; still good salvage value if mechanicals are intact |
| Structural or chassis damage | Medium to strong; safe repair may be costly |
| Mechanical/drivetrain failure | Moderate-parts may have value but engine/gearbox issues reduce total offer |
| Written-off (insurance category) | Significant; vehicle bought strictly as salvage |
After you accept our offer, we collect your accident-damaged vehicle (usually within 24-48 hours), complete the transaction, and assist you with all necessary deregistration steps. Payment is released and verified promptly, providing confirmation and peace of mind.
Need a tow? We got you
Get a cash offer within 24h!
Somewhere remote? No problem!
Wondering how we calculate your car’s value? At Sell Your Damaged Car, we look at: Your car’s real condition, its salvage value, and the current market demand. It’s all about honesty, transparency, and fairness — that’s how we determine your offer.
