Sell your 4x4 in Johannesburg even with engine or transmission faults. Free towing, paperwork handled and fast payment - get a free quote online.
We Buy Any 4x4 Condition
Mechanical failure, non-running or written-off - get a competitive cash offer.
Free Towing in Johannesburg
We collect from your location and handle vehicle transport at no cost.
Paperwork & Fast Payment
We manage deregistration and release payment quickly after collection.
If your 4x4 has engine, transmission or drivetrain issues, is non-running, accident-damaged or written off, you don’t need to wait for costly repairs. Sell Your Damaged Car buys 4x4s in any condition in Johannesburg and surrounding areas, offers a transparent valuation, arranges free towing and handles the paperwork so you receive fast payment after collection.
Local note: We collect across Johannesburg, Sandton, Roodepoort, Soweto and surrounding suburbs. Free towing and admin support means you don’t have to arrange transport or visit a scrapper.
Any-condition 4x4s: mechanical failure, blown engines, seized gearboxes, differential and transfer box problems, flood or fire damage, accident-written-off and non-running vehicles. We also buy salvage-title and heavily damaged units.
Offers are based on the vehicle’s make, model, year, mileage, overall condition, the type of mechanical fault and current salvage demand. We provide a competitive cash offer after you upload photos and key details. If you want to learn more about selling non-running vehicles, see our Sell Non-Running Car page for specifics.
| Common mechanical issue | Typical impact on offer |
|---|---|
| Engine failure / seized engine | Significant reduction versus roadworthy value; depends on model and parts demand. |
| Transmission / transfer case issues | Moderate to major impact; 4x4 parts often retain resale value for repairs. |
| Non-running but no major structural damage | Less severe impact; easier to value and recoverable by salvage buyers. |
If you want an explanation of our process and what to expect, visit our About / How it works page for full details on valuation, paperwork and collection. We recommend preparing clear photos of the engine bay, underbody, dashboard warning lights and any visible damage before submitting your vehicle details.
1. Upload vehicle details and photos online. Include make, model, year, mileage and a short description of the mechanical issue. 2. Receive a transparent cash offer based on the information provided. 3. Accept the offer and schedule a collection time in Johannesburg. 4. We complete the paperwork, tow the vehicle for free and release payment quickly after collection.
We accept 4x4s in accident, flood or fire-damaged conditions as well as those with severe mechanical faults. Vehicles under finance may be eligible, but we will need finance details to complete settlement correctly. For more on selling damaged vehicles and typical scenarios, see our Sell Damaged Cars page.
Example scenario: a 4x4 with a seized engine and intact bodywork will often attract salvage buyers who value parts and core recovery; offers reflect parts demand and towing cost savings. Another scenario: a mechanically faulty 4x4 with a clean service history and low structural damage may receive a stronger offer because repair or part sale options are clearer.
Ready to proceed? Get your free quote and upload your vehicle details on our homepage to start the process. Use the online form to describe the mechanical problem and attach photos - the form typically takes under two minutes. Visit our Get your free quote page to submit details and arrange collection.
We operate nationwide with transparent offers, documented collections and secure payment procedures. We encourage sellers to keep records of communications and bank details used for payment. For additional context on selling non-running vehicles, our Sell Non-Running Car resource explains common requirements and checklist items.
