Looking to scrap your vehicle in Durban? We buy damaged and non-running cars across eThekwini with free collection, paperwork assistance and fast payment.
Durban-wide Collection
Free towing from eThekwini and surrounding suburbs after offer acceptance.
We Buy Any Condition
Accident, flood, fire, non-running and written-off vehicles accepted.
Paperwork & Fast Payment
We assist with transfer, deregistration and near-instant payment after collection.
If you’re searching for scrap my vehicle Durban, we make the process straightforward. We buy damaged, non-running and written-off cars across eThekwini, arrange free towing from home or work, manage the necessary paperwork and deliver a competitive cash offer. Our service is suited to private owners and small fleets operating in and around Durban.
We buy vehicles in any condition: accident-damaged, flood-affected, fire-damaged, non-running engines, and officially written-off or salvage vehicles. Scrapping is often the faster, lower-effort option when repair costs, storage or logistics exceed a vehicle’s practical value.
Coastal exposure in Durban can accelerate corrosion, and local flood events can increase the number of salvage vehicles in the market. We operate across Durban and surrounding suburbs, including inner-city, beachfront areas and inland townships - meaning reliable collection even when a car is not roadworthy.
| Damage Type | Typical Offer Impact |
|---|---|
| Severe structural/rolled vehicles | Lower offer due to limited parts recovery |
| Mechanical failure (non-runner) | Moderate impact; usable parts can offset value loss |
| Flood or salt corrosion | Significant impact depending on electrical and interior damage |
For more detail on what we buy and how values are assessed, see our Sell Damaged Cars page. If you want an overview of our process and company background, read our About / How it works page.
Practical tip: Take clear photos of the engine bay, VIN/chassis, interior and visible structural damage. This speeds up valuation and avoids surprises at collection.
Q: Do you collect from port areas or storage yards near Durban harbour?
A: Yes - we can arrange collection from most commercial yards and ports, subject to access and documentation. Let us know the exact location when you submit details.
Q: What documents do I need?
A: Typically your ID, vehicle registration papers and proof of ownership. If the car is financed, bring the finance account details so we can coordinate settlement steps.
Ready to proceed? Start by uploading photos and vehicle details on our homepage to Get your free quote, then confirm collection when you accept the offer to Get paid fast.

Wondering how we calculate your car’s value? At Sell Your Damaged Car, we look at: Your car’s real condition, its salvage value, and the current market demand. It’s all about honesty, transparency, and fairness — that’s how we determine your offer.
