Get a competitive scrap diesel car quote in South Africa. Upload details, receive an obligation-free offer, and we arrange free nationwide towing and paperwork.
Competitive Cash Offer
Receive a transparent quote for diesel vehicles in any condition.
Free Nationwide Towing
We collect from Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and beyond at no cost.
Paperwork & Fast Payment
We handle deregistration and arrange quick payment after collection.
If you own a diesel car that’s written off, non-running, fire- or flood-damaged, or simply uneconomical to repair, getting a scrap diesel car quote in SA can free up space and turn the vehicle into cash quickly. Our process is built for South African owners in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and surrounding areas: upload vehicle details and photos, receive a transparent quote, accept if it suits you, and we arrange free towing, paperwork and fast payment.
Running, storing or trying to privately sell a damaged diesel can be costly and slow. A dedicated scrap quote helps you assess the competitive cash offer available without repair costs, towing fees or admin headaches. We arrange free collection nationwide and manage deregistration paperwork so you don’t need to visit licensing offices.
Submit basic vehicle data, the damage description and clear photos through our online form. You can Get your free quote or choose to Upload vehicle details now; most quotes are returned quickly based on condition and salvage demand.
| Common reason for scrapping | How it affects a quote |
|---|---|
| Accident / written-off | Major body or structural damage reduces road-value; salvage parts and metal remain valuable. |
| Non-running / mechanical failure | Engine or gearbox failure lowers offers but parts and scrap metal still factor in. |
| Flood or fire damage | Severe damage typically moves the vehicle straight to salvage; offers reflect dismantling costs. |
For specific guidance on non-running vehicles, see our Sell Non-Running Car page which explains common scenarios and what details help secure a better quote.
Local note: We operate nationwide across South Africa, including Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban, and handle local deregistration and title transfer paperwork after collection.
Once you accept the quote we confirm collection details, arrange free towing from your location and complete the necessary paperwork. We prioritise fast payment: funds are released once the vehicle is in our custody and documentation is verified. This process minimises your administrative steps and reduces delay.
Provide clear photos (multiple angles, engine bay, VIN/chassis if visible), accurate odometer reading, and honest descriptions of damage. Mention outstanding finance so we can advise on next steps - vehicles under finance require different handling but we can still provide a quote and outline the settlement process. For related guidance see our Sell Damaged Cars page.
We focus on transparent, experience-based valuations aligned to salvage demand and local market conditions in South Africa. Our process reduces the usual risks of private sales: no towing fees, minimal paperwork required on your side, and a clear chain of custody for deregistration. To learn more about how we operate, read our About / How it works page.
If you’re looking for a reliable scrap diesel car quote in SA, begin by choosing Get your free quote and Upload vehicle details. We’ll reply with a competitive cash offer, explain any finance or deregistration steps, and arrange free collection once you confirm.

Somewhere remote? No problem!
Wondering how we calculate your car’s value? At Sell Your Damaged Car, we look at: Your car’s real condition, its salvage value, and the current market demand. It’s all about honesty, transparency, and fairness — that’s how we determine your offer.
