Get a competitive scrap car price in South Africa with free nationwide collection. Upload details, receive a cash offer, schedule collection and get paid fast.
Free Nationwide Collection
We tow your scrap vehicle anywhere in South Africa at no cost.
Competitive Cash Offer
Receive a transparent, obligation-free quote based on condition.
Paperwork & Fast Payment
We assist with transfer/deregistration and release payment quickly.
If you have a scrap, written-off or non-running vehicle in South Africa, understanding scrap car prices and the logistics of collection can save time and stress. Sell Your Damaged Car buys vehicles in any condition, offers a straightforward online valuation and arranges free towing nationwide from major metros like Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban to smaller towns.
Transporting a non-running or heavily damaged vehicle can be costly and slow down a sale. Free collection removes that barrier so you receive the agreed cash without arranging a tow. Our process keeps the steps simple: upload photos and details, get a competitive cash offer, accept and schedule collection.
Offers reflect several factors: vehicle age, make and model popularity in the salvage market, extent of damage, presence of reusable parts, and current scrap metal or salvage demand in South Africa. Market conditions change, so quotes are based on the vehicle details you provide plus recent local demand.
| Factor | Typical effect on scrap offer |
|---|---|
| Make & model popularity | Higher demand for parts raises offers |
| Extent of structural damage | Severe structural damage can reduce offers |
| Mechanical condition | Running vehicles typically fetch more than complete non-starters |
Tip: Accurate photos and honest descriptions improve quote accuracy and speed. For guidance on vehicles that won’t start, see the Sell Non-Running Car page.
If you want a deeper look at how we operate and our verification steps, the How it works page explains the full workflow and trust measures we use.
Follow these practical steps to improve the accuracy of your quote and speed up collection across South Africa.
Photographs from several angles, close-ups of damage and the engine bay help valuers assess real condition. Include service history or recent invoices if available - these can increase confidence in the vehicle’s remaining value.
| Step | Typical timing |
|---|---|
| Submit form & photos | Under 5 minutes |
| Receive offer | Within hours (business hours) |
| Schedule collection | Same day to 3 business days, depending on location |
We assist with paperwork and advise on deregistration. If the vehicle is still under finance, inform your finance provider - sales proceeds may need to settle the outstanding balance before final transfer. For vehicles registered in major metros we cover collection and help complete the required forms.
Ready to get started? Upload vehicle details and photos to receive a competitive cash offer and arrange free collection today: Get your free quote. For damaged cars that still run, see our Sell Damaged Cars page for tailored guidance.
We provide clear offers and confirm collection details so there are no surprises. Payments are processed promptly after vehicle inspection and collection. If you’re unsure about any step, our About page outlines identity checks and payment security measures.
Need a tow? We got you
Get a cash offer within 24h!
Somewhere remote? No problem!
Wondering how we calculate your car’s value? At Sell Your Damaged Car, we look at: Your car’s real condition, its salvage value, and the current market demand. It’s all about honesty, transparency, and fairness — that’s how we determine your offer.
