Need to sell a scrap or damaged car in Port Elizabeth? We buy non-runners, accident, and written-off vehicles for cash, with free towing and all paperwork handled.
If your car is damaged, non-running, or written off in an accident, finding a trusted way to sell it in Port Elizabeth can be challenging. Sell Your Damaged Car offers a reliable and straightforward solution for PE residents and businesses wanting to turn unwanted vehicles into cash - with no hidden fees, stress, or admin headaches. Our service covers all of Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) and surrounding areas, providing quick transactions and a fair approach for owners of scrap vehicles.
Unlike general classifieds or private sales, specialist buyers like Sell Your Damaged Car handle all logistics - from paperwork and deregistration, to free towing and market-based offers, ensuring you get a quick, safe, and problem-free sale.
Our process is designed for efficiency and transparency. Here's how it works in Port Elizabeth and the Eastern Cape:
| Step | What You Do | We Handle |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Submit details | Take photos & fill our online form | Valuation & feedback |
| 2. Accept offer | Review and approve quote | Scheduling free collection |
| 3. Collection & payment | Be available at arranged time | Towing, paperwork, instant payment |
In South Africa, vehicle deregistration and legal transfer are required when scrapping a car. Our team manages these steps for you, ensuring compliance with the National Road Traffic Act. Even if your car is still under finance, let us know - we'll assist in engaging your finance provider to finalise the sale and cancellation process properly.
Have your vehicle's registration papers, proof of ID, and bank details ready for a smooth transfer and rapid payment.
Our valuation considers the type and extent of damage, model popularity, and salvage buyer demand locally. Here's how common damage types can influence your cash offer in Port Elizabeth:
| Damage Type | Impact on Offer |
|---|---|
| Minor accident (panels, lights) | Lower reduction, often easily recoverable parts |
| Severe accident (frame, airbags deployed) | Significant drop, valued mostly for parts/scrap metal |
| Mechanical failure (engine, gearbox) | Moderate reduction, competitive for popular models |
| Fire/Flood damage | Market-based; depends on salvageability |
After collection, your car is processed for parts, responsible recycling, or resale to salvage buyers within the Eastern Cape and nationally. All deregistration and legal aspects are finalised, letting you move forward with peace of mind.

Wondering how we calculate your car’s value? At Sell Your Damaged Car, we look at: Your car’s real condition, its salvage value, and the current market demand. It’s all about honesty, transparency, and fairness — that’s how we determine your offer.
