Selling a Pretoria insurance write-off car for sale? Upload details, get an obligation-free offer, free towing and handled paperwork - fast payment available.
Sell Write-Offs in Pretoria
Get a transparent offer, free towing and handled paperwork across Tshwane.
Fast, Handled Paperwork
We assist with transfer, deregistration and lender settlement when needed.
Nationwide Collection
Free towing from Pretoria suburbs to anywhere in South Africa.
If your vehicle has been declared an insurance write-off in Pretoria, selling to a specialist buyer can be quicker and simpler than repairs or private sale. Sell Your Damaged Car buys insurance write-off vehicles and salvage in any condition across Pretoria and the surrounding Tshwane area, offering free nationwide towing, assistance with paperwork and fast payment. Start by uploading clear photos and basic details - you can get your free quote in minutes.
Written-off vehicles often have limited resale windows and specific salvage demand. Selling to a specialist avoids advertising to unqualified buyers, towing logistics and lengthy negotiations. Our process reduces your admin burden - we handle transfer paperwork and deregistration steps relevant to South African vehicles and arrange collection from anywhere in Pretoria, from Lynnwood to Soshanguve.
| Damage type | Typical offer impact |
|---|---|
| Structural/frame damage | Significantly lowers offers due to safety repair costs |
| Engine/transmission failure | Moderate to large reduction depending on parts value |
| Cosmetic/airbag deployed | Smaller reduction if mechanical systems intact |
Local note: Pretoria’s proximity to parts suppliers and breakers can support stronger offers for models in demand locally, but offers still depend on condition and paperwork.
| Estimated repair cost (R) | Typical value retained if repaired |
|---|---|
| R5,000 - R20,000 | Small increase; often not worth for older cars |
| R20,000 - R60,000 | May be viable for newer models; balance against downtime |
| R60,000+ | Often better to sell as salvage unless vehicle has high retail value |
If you want a clear comparison for your specific car, our online form walks through the condition and gives an obligation-free assessment for Pretoria vehicles. Learn more about how we buy damaged cars on our Sell Damaged Cars page.
We also recommend reading our How it works overview to understand the paperwork we manage and the nationwide collection options available to Pretoria sellers.
Our streamlined process is designed for convenience: upload vehicle details and photos, receive an obligation-free cash offer, accept if it suits you, and we arrange free towing and paperwork. For immediate action you can Upload vehicle details now and get your free quote.
Sell Your Damaged Car helps with the transfer and deregistration steps required in South Africa, including documentation needed for insurance write-offs. If your vehicle is still under finance, we work with you and the financier to settle outstanding balances - this can affect final proceeds and is handled transparently during offer stage. For details on selling non-running vehicles, see our Sell Non-Running Car guide.
After we collect the write-off car in Pretoria, we verify paperwork, arrange deregistration if required, and process payment. Expect clear communication at every step and confirmation when funds are released. Payment timelines and methods are confirmed in your offer documentation.
Example scenario: A Pretoria owner with a written-off daily driver uploaded photos and accepted an offer; we handled lender settlement, deregistration and free collection - the owner received payment shortly after collection.
We operate nationwide, with specific collections across Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban as well as Pretoria suburbs. Read our about page for service details and policies, then Get your free quote to start the process. If your car is non-running or severely damaged, our specialists will explain the valuation factors clearly and fairly.

Wondering how we calculate your car’s value? At Sell Your Damaged Car, we look at: Your car’s real condition, its salvage value, and the current market demand. It’s all about honesty, transparency, and fairness — that’s how we determine your offer.
