Sell fire-damaged or salvage cars in Johannesburg. Free towing, paperwork handled, fast payment and nationwide service from Sell Your Damaged Car.
Fire-Damaged Cars Bought
We buy fire-damaged and salvage vehicles in Johannesburg, any condition.
Free Towing & Paperwork
Nationwide collection, deregistration and admin handled for you.
Fast, Transparent Offers
Upload photos, get an obligation-free cash offer and quick payment.
If your vehicle has suffered fire damage and is now classed as salvage or a write-off, you can still realise cash value without the cost and delay of repairs. Sell Your Damaged Car purchases fire-damaged vehicles across Johannesburg and surrounding areas - from Sandton and Rosebank to Soweto and Springs. We accept cars that are non-running, written off, flood- or fire-damaged and provide free towing, handle the paperwork and arrange fast payment on collection.
Fire damage often affects wiring, trim and engine components in ways that are hard to estimate for private buyers. A specialist salvage buyer understands salvage value drivers (parts demand, repair feasibility, insurer write-offs) and can offer a competitive cash offer without the private-sale hassle. Learn more about how we assess damaged vehicles on our About / How it works page.
Note: Vehicle offers depend on make, model, year, mileage and visible damage. We can't promise identical offers for every case - each valuation is transparent and based on current salvage demand.
| Damage type | Typical impact on offer |
|---|---|
| Superficial interior/fire-smoke | Lower impact; parts and body resale remain viable |
| Electrical & wiring damage | Moderate impact; labour and parts replacement costly |
| Engine/structural fire | Higher impact; often classified as salvage/write-off |
For a focused guide on selling non-running cars, see our Sell Non-Running Car page. If the vehicle has extensive body or fire damage, our Sell Damaged Cars resource explains valuation factors and typical next steps.
| Scenario | Estimated repair cost (R) | Likely retained value post-repair (%) |
|---|---|---|
| Minor interior fire | R8,000-R20,000 | 70-85% |
| Electrical wiring & components | R15,000-R40,000 | 50-70% |
| Engine/structural fire | R40,000+ | Varies - often classified as salvage |
These ranges are illustrative and reflect typical costs in South Africa; actual quotes vary by workshop, parts availability and insurer policies. Selling to a specialist buyer can avoid repair outlays and towing costs within Johannesburg.
Our online process is designed for speed: upload photos and vehicle details, get an obligation-free cash offer, accept if it meets your needs, and we collect the vehicle with free towing. We take care of paperwork and deregistration so the transfer is quick and low-effort. For a full explanation of our steps, visit our homepage.
After we collect the fire-damaged vehicle, it will be processed for parts, salvage or recycling depending on condition. Payment is released and verified quickly; we also provide documentation confirming transfer and any deregistration steps completed. If your car is under finance, we explain steps to settle or transfer obligations before collection.
If you want details specific to non-running vehicles or salvage paperwork, check our Sell Non-Running Car guide for South Africa.
We serve all Johannesburg suburbs and nearby towns; free towing covers both inner-city locations (Parktown, Melville) and outer areas (Randburg, Roodepoort). Traffic and access can affect collection timing, so we confirm windows that work for you. For fleet owners, we support multi-vehicle collections and provide consolidated paperwork.
