Receive a competitive cash offer for your water-damaged car in SA. Free nationwide towing, paperwork handled and quick payment. Upload details online to get started.
Competitive Cash Offer
Upload details and photos to receive a transparent offer for water-damaged vehicles.
Free Nationwide Towing
We collect across South Africa, including Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban.
Paperwork & Fast Payment
We handle deregistration and release payment quickly after collection.
If your vehicle has sustained water damage from floods, storms, or drainage issues, getting a prompt, transparent offer can save time and further costs. Sell Your Damaged Car buys water-damaged and flood-affected vehicles in any condition across Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban and surrounding regions. Our online valuation is simple: upload make, model, year, mileage and photos, get an offer, accept and we arrange collection and fast payment.
Repairing water damage can be costly and unpredictable. Electrical corrosion, hidden mould, and mechanical failures often emerge after initial repairs. For many owners and fleet managers, a competitive cash offer and removal of the vehicle is a lower-risk option than lengthy repair projects.
Fast process note: Submit photos showing interior, engine bay and underbody where possible - clear images help produce a more accurate offer.
| Issue | Typical repair cost (R, estimate) | Value retained after repair (estimate) |
|---|---|---|
| Minor interior water ingress | R2,000 - R8,000 | 70%-85% of pre-damage value |
| Electrical system diagnosis & repair | R5,000 - R25,000 | 50%-75% of pre-damage value |
| Full engine rebuild/replacement | R20,000 - R80,000+ | Variable; often uneconomic |
These figures are South Africa-specific estimates to help you compare repair effort vs selling. Repair costs depend on make, age and extent of water damage; figures are illustrative and not guaranteed.
Ready to get a competitive cash offer? Start by uploading your details and images via our homepage: Get your free quote. If your vehicle doesn't run, our Sell Non-Running Car page explains what details help speed up an accurate offer.
| Damage type | How it affects offers |
|---|---|
| Interior-only water ingress | Lower impact if electrics unaffected; higher if mould or wiring damage |
| Engine bay immersion | Significant offer reduction due to potential mechanical failure |
| Saltwater submersion | Greater long-term corrosion risk; larger impact on offers |
For a full overview of the types of vehicles we buy and our national coverage, see our Sell Damaged Cars page.
Get an offer for your water-damaged car in four simple steps. First, submit your vehicle details and clear photos. Second, receive a competitive cash offer based on condition and salvage market demand. Third, accept the offer and choose a collection time. Fourth, we collect with free towing, handle paperwork (including deregistration where applicable) and release payment promptly.
To begin, use our quick online form on the homepage: Upload vehicle details. If the vehicle does not start, the Sell Non-Running Car resource explains what extra info helps accuracy. For background on our approach and what to expect, see our About / How it works page.
We support deregistration assistance and can work with vehicles still under finance; transactions involving outstanding finance require settlement with the finance provider as part of the transfer process. Always check lender terms and confirm identity documentation. Our team guides you through the admin and provides the necessary paperwork to complete the sale in compliance with South African regulations.
When you accept an offer we arrange collection and payment - confirm collection and then get paid fast. Start now by visiting the homepage to Get your free quote.
