Get free towing for old bakkies and scrap vehicles across South Africa. We handle collection, paperwork and fast payment - upload details for a cash offer today.
Free Nationwide Towing
We collect old bakkies and scrap vehicles anywhere in South Africa at no towing cost.
Paperwork & Payment
We handle transfer/deregistration and provide fast payment on collection.
Simple Online Process
Upload details, receive an offer, confirm collection and we do the rest.
If you own an old bakkie, written-off ute or scrap vehicle that no longer runs, free towing can remove a major cost barrier when selling. Sell Your Damaged Car buys vehicles in any condition, arranges nationwide collection at no towing cost to you, handles the paperwork (including deregistration where needed) and issues fast payment on collection.
Free towing is especially valuable for private owners and small-fleet operators in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and surrounding regions who face high transport fees for non-running or heavy-damage vehicles. It helps when:
We provide free towing, transparent cash offers, paperwork assistance (including transfer and deregistration guidance) and near-instant payment on collection. For specifics about what we buy, see our Sell Damaged Cars page. If your vehicle won’t start or is immobilised, our Sell Non-Running Car resource explains typical valuation factors.
| Service | Typical cost in SA (estimate) |
|---|---|
| Local tow truck (short distance) | R400-R900 |
| Long-distance recovery (inter-city) | R1,200-R3,500+ |
| Sell Your Damaged Car - free towing | R0 (included) |
These figures are illustrative estimates for South Africa and will vary by distance and vehicle size. Free towing removes this expense and simplifies moving scrap vehicles from private yards, farms or urban locations to collection points.
We accept old bakkies, light commercial vehicles, passenger cars and written-off or salvage units - whether accident-damaged, flood- or fire-affected, or simply non-running. For a clear list of acceptable conditions and examples, see our How it works page detailing our buying criteria and process.
Selling an old bakkie with free towing follows a clear online workflow designed for speed and transparency.
Ready to move an old bakkie or scrap vehicle? Use our quick online form to Get your free quote or Upload vehicle details. Confirm collection and we arrange free towing - then you Get paid fast after we collect.
After collection we provide sale documents and confirm payment. We aim for transparent offers that reflect condition and salvage value without hidden deductions. For more on our buying process and customer experience, visit our About / How it works page.
If you have questions about towing windows, vehicle access or finance-linked cars, our team explains the options and helps schedule a safe, convenient pickup across South Africa.
