We collect total-loss and written-off cars across South Africa for free. Get a transparent offer, free towing, paperwork support and fast payment after collection.
Free Nationwide Collection
We pick up total-loss and written-off cars across South Africa at no charge.
Paperwork & Deregistration Help
We assist with sale documents, deregistration and coordination with finance houses.
Fast Payment After Collection
Accept an offer, confirm collection and receive secure payment promptly.
If your vehicle has been declared a total loss after an accident, flood or fire, arranging transport and admin can be stressful. Sell Your Damaged Car buys total-loss and written-off vehicles across South Africa, offering free pickup, assistance with paperwork (including deregistration where applicable) and fast payment after collection. We handle cars in any condition - non-running, severely damaged, or salvage-title - and collect from major centres like Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban as well as surrounding areas.
We buy vehicles that are written-off or declared total loss due to accident damage, fire, flood, structural damage or severe mechanical failure. Whether the car is a non-runner, partially dismantled or sitting at a storage yard, we can assess and arrange collection. Learn more about the types of damaged cars we purchase on our Sell Damaged Cars page.
For a clear explanation of our process and trust signals, see our About / How it works page.
Note: If your vehicle is still under finance, settlement steps with the finance house are part of the transfer process. We explain these steps and can coordinate with the finance provider during collection.
Once you accept a competitive cash offer, we confirm a pickup time, arrange specialist towing (if required) and complete the required paperwork on collection. Typical steps include verifying ownership documents, signing the sale transfer, arranging deregistration where applicable and releasing payment shortly after collection. If you prefer, you can start the process by visiting our homepage to upload vehicle details and photos: Get your free quote.
Example situation: a Cape Town owner with a written-off sedan needs to clear a storage yard fee and cannot tow the car themselves. Free collection avoids immediate out-of-pocket towing and storage costs while we handle transfer and payment. For owners of non-running vehicles or fleet managers with multiple damaged units, see guidance on selling non-running cars on our Sell Non-Running Car page.
Inclusions: free towing, paperwork coordination, and secure payment on collection. Timing: pickups are scheduled to suit you; in metro areas we often collect within 24-72 hours after acceptance, subject to location and availability. Trust signals: we operate nationwide, handle deregistration support, and provide clear written offers before you accept. For more detail on what we buy and the process, consult our service information on the Sell Your Damaged Car homepage.
If you need a straightforward way to move a total-loss vehicle without arranging towing or chasing paperwork, start by uploading vehicle details and photos to receive a transparent offer and arrange free pickup and payment.
