Paperwork & Fast Payment
We handle transfer/deregistration and release payment promptly after collection.
If your vehicle has suffered water damage - from flood, storm or localized flooding in Johannesburg - you don’t have to wait or pay for costly repairs. Sell Your Damaged Car buys water-damaged, non-running and written-off vehicles for cash across Johannesburg and surrounding areas, including Sandton, Roodepoort and Soweto. We offer free nationwide collection, handle the paperwork (including deregistration where applicable) and arrange fast payment once the vehicle is collected.
We accept water-damaged cars in any condition - from surface water ingress to full flood-damage and non-starting vehicles. That includes passenger cars, bakkies and small fleet vehicles affected by rain- or flood-related incidents. For more background on the types of damaged cars we purchase, see our Sell Damaged Cars page.
We provide an obligation-free cash offer based on vehicle details and photos. Our valuations reflect current salvage demand and the cost-to-repair realities for water-damaged vehicles in South Africa. Learn about our process and experience on the About / How it works page. We do not advertise specific monetary offers online - each quote is personalised to the vehicle’s condition.
Ready to start? Get your free quote or Upload vehicle details now. If your car won’t start after water ingress, our process for non-running vehicles is explained on the Sell Non-Running Car page.
| Damage factor | Typical impact on cash offer (estimate) |
|---|---|
| Surface water (doors, carpets wet) | Moderate reduction - R estimate varies by model and age |
| Engine or transmission submerged | Significant reduction - often treated as salvage |
| Electrical/system faults from water | High impact - diagnostics and parts replacement costly |
Notes: the impacts above are general guidelines. Actual offers depend on vehicle make, model, year and extent of water damage. All monetary examples in communication will be shown as R and clearly stated as estimates when provided.
We serve private owners and small business fleets across Johannesburg and nationally. Our process reduces towing costs, speeds up payment and lowers the administrative burden for sellers of water-damaged vehicles. For more details on how we operate and what to prepare, review our About / How it works page.
