Sell your scrap, written-off or non-running vehicle for a competitive cash offer. Free towing, paperwork handled and fast payment across South Africa.
Free Nationwide Towing
We collect scrap cars anywhere in South Africa at no cost to you.
Paperwork & Deregistration Help
We manage transfer documents and assist with deregistration where needed.
Fast, Transparent Offers
Upload photos, get a competitive cash offer, accept and schedule collection.
If your vehicle is written off, beyond economical repair, or simply sits in the yard, our cash-for-scrap-cars-free-towing service makes selling straightforward. We buy cars in any condition - accident-damaged, flood or fire-affected, non-running or salvage - and arrange free collection across South Africa, including Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban.
Submit vehicle details and photos online, receive a transparent, no-obligation cash offer, accept if it suits you, and we schedule free towing. We complete the necessary paperwork and release payment quickly after collection. For a plain explanation of the steps and our approach to paperwork, see our About / How it works page.
This service is ideal for private owners with non-running cars, accident-written-off vehicles, and small business fleets that need quick disposal without towing costs or admin headaches. If your vehicle no longer justifies repair expense, selling for scrap can free up space and produce immediate funds.
| Damage type | Typical impact on offer |
|---|---|
| Accident/written-off | Lower resale value but salvageable parts and scrap value still attract competitive cash offers. |
| Non-running / mechanical failure | Offers consider parts value and towability; free towing reduces seller costs significantly. |
| Flood or fire damage | Severe damage lowers market value, but metal, wheels and usable components retain salvage worth. |
For owners of non-running vehicles who want targeted guidance, our Sell Non-Running Car page explains the information that speeds up a quote and collection.
1) Upload details and photos through our online form. 2) Receive a transparent cash offer based on vehicle age, condition and salvage demand. 3) Accept the offer and schedule free towing. 4) We collect, handle paperwork, and make fast payment. Ready to start? Use the quick form on our homepage to upload vehicle details and get a competitive cash offer.
Nationwide towing means you won’t pay for collection - this is particularly helpful in outer suburbs and regional towns. If your vehicle is still under finance, inform your lender early; we can work with the settlement figure so transfer and final payment are clear. Our process also helps with deregistration where required by local authorities.
We handle collection logistics and most of the transfer paperwork; you should prepare proof of ownership, ID and photos of the vehicle. If you want details about damaged-car sales and typical timelines, see our Sell Damaged Cars page for practical guidance.
| Scenario | Towing cost avoided |
|---|---|
| Local metro collection | Typical R-amounts for private tow removed |
| Regional or long-distance pickup | Higher transport costs avoided, improving net proceeds |
Our process emphasises transparency and speed. When you accept an offer on the homepage, you can confirm collection and expect prompt administration and payment - making the sale of a scrap vehicle straightforward and low risk.

Wondering how we calculate your car’s value? At Sell Your Damaged Car, we look at: Your car’s real condition, its salvage value, and the current market demand. It’s all about honesty, transparency, and fairness — that’s how we determine your offer.
