Sell storm-damaged cars across South Africa. Get a competitive cash offer, free nationwide towing, paperwork handled and fast payment from specialist buyers.
Fast Cash for Storm Damage
Competitive cash offer for flood, hail or wind-damaged cars across SA.
Free Nationwide Towing
We arrange collection across Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and beyond.
We Handle Paperwork
Admin, transfer and deregistration support for a low-effort sale.
If your vehicle suffered hail, flood, wind or falling-debris damage during a storm, selling to specialist cash buyers can be faster and lower-effort than arranging repairs or private sale. Cash buyers evaluate condition, provide a transparent, competitive cash offer and handle collection logistics - a practical option for busy owners in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and surrounding areas.
We purchase storm-affected cars in any condition: panel and glass damage from hail, water ingress from localized flooding, broken mirrors, crushed body panels, and electrical faults caused by water exposure. Owners of daily drivers, older vehicles, non-running cars and small business fleets often choose cash buyers when repair costs, downtime and risk to further damage make selling the smarter choice.
| Damage type | Typical effect on offer |
|---|---|
| Hail dents and broken glass | Moderate reduction; repairable cosmetic damage usually retains salvage value. |
| Water ingress / flooding | Larger reduction due to electrical risk and corrosion; non-running status common. |
| Crushed panels / structural damage | Significant reduction; impact depends on repair feasibility and salvage market demand. |
Sell Your Damaged Car operates nationwide: we serve metros and surrounding regions including Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban. If you need background on how our service works, see our About / How it works page for a clear overview. For storm-damaged vehicles that no longer start, our Sell Non-Running Car information explains common scenarios and required details.
Practical example: a mid-2000s sedan with hail-dented panels but running condition typically attracts a different offer than a similar car with flood immersion. Offers reflect condition, salvage demand and local market factors; our assessors consider these when preparing a competitive cash offer.
Our process is designed to reduce effort for owners: submit basic vehicle details and photos, receive a transparent offer, accept if it meets your needs, then we handle collection and payment. Steps are simple and aimed at speed and clarity.
We handle essential paperwork including transfer and deregistration steps commonly required in South Africa. If the vehicle is under finance, disclose this when you submit details; we explain the process and liaise with financiers where possible. For guidance on selling storm-damaged cars that won’t start, review our Sell Damaged Cars page.
Once we collect the vehicle via free towing, we complete verification and paperwork, then release payment. Timing varies by bank and verification steps, but many sellers receive funds quickly after collection. We aim for a low-risk, transparent transfer of ownership to protect both parties.
| Seller concern | How we address it |
|---|---|
| Towing cost | We arrange free nationwide towing for accepted sales. |
| Paperwork complexity | We manage transfer and deregistration steps and advise on finance settlement if needed. |
We buy storm-damaged cars across South Africa, including in major centres and surrounding regions. Our valuation is based on condition and salvage market demand, not blanket guarantees. Sellers are encouraged to get multiple quotes and check our process on the About / How it works page for transparency.

Wondering how we calculate your car’s value? At Sell Your Damaged Car, we look at: Your car’s real condition, its salvage value, and the current market demand. It’s all about honesty, transparency, and fairness — that’s how we determine your offer.
