Looking for buyers for crash-damaged bakkies in South Africa? We buy any-condition bakkies, provide free nationwide towing, handle paperwork and pay quickly.
We buy crash-damaged bakkies
Any condition accepted - accident, non-running or written-off.
Free nationwide towing
We collect from Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and beyond.
Paperwork & fast payment
We handle deregistration and release payment after collection.
If you own a crash-damaged bakkie (pick-up) and want a straightforward way to sell it, we specialise in buying bakkies with accident damage, mechanical failure or that no longer run. Our process is designed for South African owners - from Johannesburg and Cape Town to Durban and surrounding regions - with free nationwide towing, deregistration help and quick payment once the vehicle is collected.
We purchase bakkies in any condition - accident-damaged, flood-impacted, fire-damaged, mechanically failed, non-running or insurer-written-off. Sellers pick a specialist buyer to avoid towing costs, private-sale delays and the uncertainty of repair estimates. Learn more about selling damaged vehicles on our Sell Damaged Cars page: Sell Damaged Cars.
Quick note: If your bakkie is financed, we can guide you through the settlement or transfer steps and liaise with finance houses as part of the sale process - see our About/How it works page for details: About / How it works.
Offers reflect the bakkie’s model year, mileage, pre-accident market value, extent and type of damage, and current salvage demand in South Africa. We provide transparent, condition-based valuations - not a one-size-fits-all figure - so two bakkies with similar damage may receive different offers based on market factors and repair complexity.
| Repair cost estimate (R) | Value retained after repair (estimate) |
|---|---|
| R10,000-R30,000 | Often less than 60% of pre-accident market value (est.) |
| R30,000-R70,000 | Varies widely; may approach 60-80% depending on parts and structural repair (est.) |
| > R70,000 | High repair costs often favour selling as-is to a specialist buyer (est.) |
These figures are South Africa-specific estimates to illustrate decision thresholds and are not offers. Final valuations are provided after you upload vehicle details and photos.
| Damage type | Typical impact on offers |
|---|---|
| Minor cosmetic damage | Lower impact; higher retention of market value |
| Structural/ chassis damage | Significant impact-reduces offer due to repair complexity |
| Flood or fire damage | Substantial impact; often sold to salvage market |
| Mechanical failure / seized engines | Variable impact depending on parts salvage value |
For more on selling non-running vehicles and the specific steps for bakkies that don’t start, see our Sell Non-Running Car guidance: Sell Non-Running Car.
Our streamlined workflow is built for sellers who want certainty and minimal effort. Submit your bakkie details and photos online, receive a transparent cash offer, accept if you’re happy, and we collect the vehicle with free towing across South Africa - from Gauteng and the Western Cape to KwaZulu-Natal and beyond. After collection we handle paperwork and make near-instant payment.
Included: free towing within our service area, paperwork assistance (deregistration and transfer where applicable), handling communications with finance houses when the vehicle is under finance, and fast verified payment after collection. Exclusions: we will assess title issues or complex legal disputes case-by-case and advise on next steps.
Bakkies have strong parts demand in the South African salvage market. That market dynamic often translates to competitive cash offers for salvageable parts or repairable components. Our experience buying crash-damaged bakkies across urban and rural areas helps us provide fair, rapid outcomes for owners who prefer cash and certainty over long, uncertain repairs.
Ready to begin? Get your free quote by uploading your vehicle details to our homepage: Get your free quote. After that you can confirm collection and get paid fast.
We operate nationwide and comply with local requirements for vehicle transfer and deregistration. Our team provides documentation and records of payment for your records. We recommend keeping a copy of the signed transfer paperwork and confirming settlement of any outstanding finance with your lender before finalising a sale.
