Nationwide collection and paperwork assistance, including deregistration support.
Fast, Transparent Offers

If your vehicle has been declared a write-off after an accident, sustained flood or fire damage, or is non-running, you can convert it to cash without the towing or admin headaches. Sell Your Damaged Car buys written-off cars across Gauteng including Johannesburg, Pretoria and surrounding areas.
Selling a written-off car often makes sense when repair costs, safety concerns and time outweigh potential resale value. We provide a straightforward option for owners who prefer a transparent cash sale with minimal paperwork and free collection. Our service is designed for private owners and small fleets in Gauteng who want a reliable, low-hassle transaction.
Gauteng’s dense market means quicker access to salvage buyers and parts demand, which can improve turnaround time on offers and collections. We operate across the province and coordinate collection points in Johannesburg, Tshwane and Ekurhuleni to keep logistics simple for sellers.
Learn more about our approach and what to expect on the process page: About / How it works and see examples of damage types we accept on our Sell Damaged Cars page.
| Damage type | Typical impact |
|---|---|
| Structural/frame damage | Larger reduction due to repair complexity and safety checks |
| Mechanical/failure (non-running) | Moderate reduction; value often in parts or salvageable components |
| Flood or fire damage | Significant reduction; affects electronics and long-term reliability |
Every valuation considers the specific condition, current market demand in Gauteng and the vehicle’s make, model and age. For non-running vehicles, see our dedicated guidance: Sell Non-Running Car.
If your vehicle is under finance, inform your lender - selling a vehicle subject to finance requires liaising with the finance company. We can assist by providing documentation and working with lienholders where needed, but final settlement of any finance balance must be arranged with the creditor. We also guide sellers through deregistration steps required by South African authorities so ownership transfers correctly and records are updated.
After we collect the vehicle, we verify condition, complete paperwork and process payment. Payment is released promptly once collection and verification are completed. Our process reduces logistics for sellers in Gauteng and provides a clear, transparent path from offer to payment.

Wondering how we calculate your car’s value? At Sell Your Damaged Car, we look at: Your car’s real condition, its salvage value, and the current market demand. It’s all about honesty, transparency, and fairness — that’s how we determine your offer.
