Sell your non-running or scrap car in South Africa. Get a competitive cash offer, free nationwide towing, paperwork handled and fast payment.
Competitive Cash Offers
We provide transparent valuations for non-running and scrap vehicles.
Free Nationwide Towing
We collect cars anywhere in South Africa at no cost to you.
Paperwork & Fast Payment
We manage deregistration and release payment quickly after collection.
If your vehicle won’t start, has been written off, or is effectively scrap, the goal is usually simple: convert the asset into cash with as little fuss as possible. Finding the best price for non-running scrap cars depends on transparent valuation, salvage demand, location, and clear logistics. Sell Your Damaged Car specialises in buying scrap and non-running vehicles across Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and nationwide, handling towing and paperwork so you don’t have to.
We provide an online valuation based on your vehicle details and photos, then present a transparent competitive cash offer. If you accept, we handle collection with free towing nationwide and the paperwork (including deregistration assistance where required). For a step-by-step on selling non-running vehicles, see our Sell Non-Running Car page and our Sell Damaged Cars page for more examples of accepted conditions.
| Damage type | Typical impact on offer |
|---|---|
| Mechanical failure (non-running) | Moderate - parts and salvage value remain |
| Structural / frame damage | High impact - reduces resale and part value |
| Flood or fire damage | Significant impact - often suited to dismantling for parts |
| Missing components (catalytic converter, wheels) | Reduces offer - complete vehicles fetch better salvage value |
Note: offers are influenced by real-time salvage demand in South Africa and the cost of local recovery. For an overview of how the process works and our service commitments, read our About / How it works page.
Our streamlined process is built for South African sellers who want speed and certainty. Key steps are simple and transparent:
For an immediate start, Upload vehicle details and get your no-obligation quote. If you prefer to learn more about selling specific non-running conditions, check the Sell Non-Running Car guidance.
Outstanding finance: if your vehicle is under finance, we explain settlement options and support the transfer. Deregistration: we assist with the necessary steps to complete transfer or deregistration where required. Logistics: free nationwide towing covers metros and many outlying areas, reducing your cost and risk.
Choosing a buyer that offers transparent valuations, free towing and reliable paperwork handling is the fastest way to secure a competitive cash offer for non-running scrap cars in South Africa. For more details on accepted conditions and a clear, experience-based approach to selling scrap vehicles, visit our homepage and resource pages linked above.
