Discover the most effective photo angles when selling a damaged or non-running car online. Get quick, accurate offers with Sell Your Damaged Car's expert photo guide.
When selling a damaged, non-running, or written-off car online-especially for cash offers-clear and honest photography is crucial. Accurate photos not only speed up valuations, but also reduce admin delays, miscommunication, or disputes. For South African sellers using services like Sell Your Damaged Car, understanding the best photo angles means a smoother process and a more competitive cash offer.
| Photo Angle | Importance | Best Practice |
|---|---|---|
| Front 3/4 View | Essential (first impression) | Shoot at waist height, car clean, wheels straight |
| Rear 3/4 View | Essential | Similar height/angle as front, natural lighting |
| Sides | Very important | Highlight dents, scratches, panel gaps |
| Interior | Important | Doors open, daytime, focus on wear/tear |
| Damage Close-ups | Critical for damaged cars | Zoom in, take multiple angles |
Proper documentation of your car's condition helps buyers-like Sell Your Damaged Car-create a fair, transparent offer and arrange collection quickly, whether you're located in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban or elsewhere in South Africa.
Unclear or incomplete photos can delay quotes and collections. They often result in additional phone calls, on-site re-assessments, or reduced offers if undisclosed damage is found. With clear angles and full disclosure from the start, most sellers get quicker responses and verified payment after vehicle pick-up.
For more selling tips, see our "Sell Damaged Cars" and "How to Avoid Being Scammed" guides. Getting the photo basics right is one of the easiest ways to maximise your time and cash return when selling a damaged, non-running, or salvage vehicle in South Africa with Sell Your Damaged Car.
